Disabling Demo Mode on Samsung Refrigerator

Demo Mode (also known as Exhibition Mode, Cooling Off Mode, or Store Mode) is commonly used when a refrigerator is displayed in a retail store. This allows customers to freely explore the inside and outside of the product. In Demo mode, the refrigerator illuminates and appears to be operational. However, the cooling function is deactivated, and the control panel is active but non-functional.

If the refrigerator is not cooling or you see the 'O FF' or 'OF OF' signs on the display, check if the refrigerator is in 'Demo Mode.' If you want to turn it off, follow the instructions below.

Standard Refrigerators (excluding Family Hub)

Step 1. Press and hold Buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously until you hear a beep.

Note: Buttons 1 and 2 - Buttons located at positions marked 1 and 2 in the image above.

Step 2. If Demo Mode is still not turned off after the above steps, press and hold Buttons 1, 2, and 4 simultaneously until you hear a beep.

Step 3. Check the current temperature on the screen when Demo Mode is turned off.

Note: Information on the screen may vary depending on the country and/or type of refrigerator, but the button positions are the same.

Family Hub Refrigerator

Step 1. Touch the App, open the Refrigerator Manager app, then touch Refrigerator Settings.

Step 2. Touch to turn off the 'Cooling Mode'.
