Now, Discord allows users to temporarily mute another user, which is particularly useful when gaming and wanting to avoid interruptions. Additionally, the Android app has also been enhanced with slash command support, commonly used for interacting with bots. The most popular slash commands include /giphy and /tenor for finding GIFs, /tts to read messages aloud from everyone on the channel, and /shrug to add the ¯(ツ)/¯ emoticon to the channel.
The second feature allows users to mark private messages as unread, to revisit a conversation at a convenient time. The update (v9.9.3) is being rolled out to users via the Google Play Store. If you don't have the app account yet, refer to How to create a Discord account here.
