1. Preserve Fresh Milk
As you may know, each type of fresh milk requires different storage methods. Even if the milk is freshly squeezed and follows hygiene conditions, there is still a certain amount of bacteria in it, and these bacteria multiply quickly, causing the milk to sour and spoil. Therefore, freshly squeezed milk must be processed or stored cold at a temperature of 2 - 5°C within 1 hour (it can be stored for 1 - 2 days).
Currently, there are two types of fresh milk: UHT milk and pasteurized fresh milk. Pasteurized fresh milk is usually packaged in plastic bottles or nylon bags, so its shelf life is short (from 3 - 7 days) and must always be stored cold to avoid spoilage. UHT milk, packaged in paper boxes using modern methods, does not need to be refrigerated before opening. However, after opening, it must be stored in the refrigerator and used within 48 hours. If fresh milk is boiled and pasteurized, and stored in a bottle, it should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours. To ensure safety and hygiene, the milk boiling time must be at least 30 minutes, and the container must be washed and sterilized before storing the milk.
You can also preserve the freshness of milk by placing it in the freezer, but remember not to fill the bottle too full because when frozen, the volume of the liquid will increase. When storing milk in this way, it can be kept for 4 - 6 weeks.

3. Egg Preservation Techniques
To preserve eggs, crack them into an ice tray. This is a useful method to extend the shelf life of eggs. If you only need egg whites or yolks, you can use this method to store them separately. However, remember to add a pinch of salt or sugar to maintain the original egg shape.
You can also preserve eggs by wrapping them in plastic wrap and placing them in the freezer. When you bring eggs home, wrap them in paper and then in plastic wrap before placing them in the freezer compartment. Using this preservation method, you can keep eggs for up to a year. When you want to use them, simply transfer the eggs to the refrigerator for a while (about a day before use), and be sure to cook them a little longer than usual.

10. Preserving Watermelon
The best way to store watermelon is in a cellar at a temperature of around 2 degrees Celsius. If unavailable, wrap the watermelon in cloth, hang it in a net, or place it on a shelf, surrounded by stuffed straw. Wrapping the watermelon in clay or wax, or placing it in a container of ashes, is also an option. Watermelon lasts longer in the dark, on a soft bed, occasionally turning it over.

12. Meat Preservation
Without a refrigerator, you can keep meat fresh for 4-6 days by wrapping it with wormwood leaves, then wrapping it in a cloth soaked in vinegar and placing it in a pot or wooden box. Seal tightly and bury it in the ground (about 20cm deep). Rinse the meat with water before cooking. If you have a freezer, wrap the meat in parchment paper and put it in.

13. Mushroom Preservation
Rinse mushrooms quickly as they absorb water easily. Place them on a paper towel, trim away any damaged parts. Pat dry the mushrooms, place them in a paper bag, wooden box, or a bowl lined with a cloth, then store in the refrigerator.

14. Fish Preservation
Fish has an unpleasant fishy smell, so it must be thoroughly cleaned and drained before tightly wrapping it before placing it in the refrigerator. When buying pre-packaged fish and not using it immediately, put it in a plastic bag and straight into the fridge. If you're concerned about the fish losing its freshness after thawing, use salt to evenly rub the entire surface of the fish before placing it in the fridge.
