Google Chrome 97 has been released on desktop. Besides fixing vulnerabilities from the previous version, Chrome 97 also introduces new features. Here are the latest features of Google Chrome 97 recently updated by Google that you should know to use this browser more professionally.
1. Clear Data for Individual Websites
Google announced in a blog post that they have simplified memory management in Chrome 97 by reconfiguring privacy and security settings. Now, users can delete data for each website stored by navigating to Settings > Security and Privacy > Site Settings > View permissions and data stored across files.
In the Vietnamese version: Settings > Security and Privacy > Cookies and other website data > View all cookies and website data.
2. Enhancements for CSS Language to Detect HDR Displays
Sometimes, websites don't fit well on the tall screens of phones, and that's why the feature to zoom in on web pages becomes handy. This feature has finally been added to Chrome on mobile, although you'll need to enable this feature through flags. Once you activate this flag, you can adjust the zoom level on each webpage.
Furthermore, Chrome 97 also automatically remembers the Zoom settings for each website you visit.
To enable this feature, all you need to do is copy the following command and paste it into Chrome's URL bar, then switch it on.
Command flags: chrome:flags#enable-accessibility-page-zoom
5. Preparing for Chrome Version with 3 Digits (Chrome Version 100)
In just a few months, Chrome will reach version 100, which will pose some challenges, as websites can only recognize 2 digits when checking browser version compatibility. That's why starting with Chrome 96, a new flag has been added to help websites recognize Chrome version 100.
