Ràng Waterfall, Han Rock Waterfall, Mai Waterfall, and Hoa Binh Waterfall are all beautiful, pristine, and poetic waterfalls in Dong Nai. Not too far from Saigon, this is the perfect destination for young explorers to discover on weekends.
Top 6 Gorgeous Waterfalls You Should Explore When Traveling to Dong Nai
1. Trị An Waterfall

Considered the final waterfall of the Dong Nai River with a legend of a woman turning into stone due to grief for her husband, Trị An Waterfall is majestic with steep rocky cliffs and the water crashing forcefully against boulders in the river or scattered at the foot of the waterfall, creating sounds like gentle weeping. Further downstream, the flow widens into a gentle stream irrigating cool fields and gardens.

At Trị An Waterfall, you can not only admire the beautiful scenery but also enjoy the romantic Trị An Lake during sunset or take a boat ride on the lake to explore the small islands, and indulge in delicious fresh field mice or Emperor fish – the treasures of the lake.
2. Rock Han Waterfall

Rock Han Waterfall comprises three cascades: Chàng, Nàng, and Rock Han. All three cascades here are not tall but still attract visitors for sightseeing and fun. The most exciting part is immersing oneself in the flowing water, feeling the force against the shoulders, neck, or diving into the cool water at the foot of the waterfall.

From Saigon's center to Rock Han Waterfall is only about 50 km. The last 4 km may take some time as you'll want to stop for photos and visit the picturesque Cloud River Lake. The tourist area of Rock Han Waterfall provides all the services you need: swimming pools, BBQ, resting huts, fishing, fruit gardens... and of course, you can't miss bathing in the waterfall.

3. Mai Waterfall

Mai Waterfall is located in Dinh Quan district, about 128 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Following National Highway 20 from Saigon to Dalat, when you reach about kilometer 110, look to the left, and you'll see a signboard for Mai Waterfall. Follow the dirt road for another 18 km (through the forest) to reach Mai Waterfall.

Mai Waterfall is filled with large flat stones, perfect for frolicking, sitting and chatting, and organizing picnics.
4. Giọt Waterfall
Giọt Waterfall is located 140 km east of Ho Chi Minh City, in Dong Nai province, hidden behind fragrant cashew, pepper, and coffee orchards that captivate the heart.

Viewed from above, the waterfall has three main streams and many smaller ones around, resembling three giant drops falling amidst the Dinh Quan mountains, hence the name Giọt. Recognizing its potential not in height but in width, Giọt Waterfall has been invested in preservation within the Hoa Phuong ecological tourism area. However, due to improper exploitation and poor security, Giọt Waterfall is now only a destination for young people in the nearby area.

5. Hoa Binh Waterfall

Not as noisy and intense as Trị An or Giọt Waterfall, Hoa Binh Waterfall flows gently from above, still carrying a serene, gentle, and graceful appearance that cannot be surpassed.

If you want to explore Hoa Binh Waterfall, you need to choose appropriate clothing because the path to the waterfall is quite rugged. It's best to wear sports shoes with good grip and long pants to avoid mosquito bites and sharp thorns from trees piercing your legs.
6. Ràng Waterfall

Ràng Waterfall is located in Phu Ly commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province. Because it's not well-known, the landscape here remains pristine, making it an excellent destination for eco-tourism enthusiasts and adventurers. With a height of nearly 5 meters, the waterfall flows all year round, surrounded by old-growth forests intertwined with caves, creating an ideal landscape for summer excursions.
