After concluding the first season in the Valhalla arc, Tokyo Revengers' narrative continues by diving into the aftermath of Takemichi's history-altering incident between the Tokyo Manji and Valhalla gangs.
So, what makes episode 1 of Tokyo Revengers season 2 exciting?
1. Takemichi encounters danger?
Following the change in history, Takemichi faces dire consequences. At the beginning of episode 1, he finds himself bound, staring down the barrel of Kisaki's gun.
And what he couldn't imagine was that the one behind it all was Kisaki Tetta. However, in a surprising twist, as Kisaki aimed to shoot Takemichi, tears welled up in his eyes, and he called him 'my hero'.
2. Takemichi's encounter with Kazutora
However, what Takemichi didn't grasp was that someone had tended to his leg wound. And the person who aided Takemichi was his old acquaintance, Kazutora.
3. Kazutora explains the crisis former Tokyo Manji members endured
Certainly, Mikey's transformation also impacted several others, the core members of Tokyo Manji. While Mitsuya vanished, Pah-chin and Peh-yan were murdered on the night Takemichi was captured. Chifuyu himself perished as he cornered Kisaki against the wall with the order to assassinate Hinata.
4. Takemichi apprehended by Naoto
Surprisingly, instead of warmly welcoming him, Naoto handcuffs Takemichi and takes him to the police station on charges related to human life.
5. Naoto explains the changes in history after the Valhalla incident
Meaning, although Takemichi was set up by Kisaki to order Hina's murder, somehow, he himself caused harm to the girl he loves. Thus, Naoto's accusations back then weren't entirely wrong. In the second video Takemichi watched, he saw himself angrily smashing objects because he didn't know the target mentioned was his girlfriend Hinata. This leaves Takemichi completely devastated.
Naoto explains that due to the historical changes triggered by Takemichi in the past, the future also changes accordingly. However, their circumstances don't change much, as Naoto still remains a police officer and his sister still gets murdered on the same day as in other worlds. However, what has changed is Takemichi becoming outstanding in his gang.
Then, the two agree to join hands once again to send Takemichi back to the past.
6. Takemichi returns to the past
He consecutively knocked down all the bowling pins three times, unlike Hinata, who always made her bowling ball veer off the lane. When Takemichi executed a perfect throw for the fourth time, he realized that the player next to him also achieved the same feat. He was surprised to discover it was Hakkai, along with her sister Yuzuha.
