These 6 untouched islands rival the beauty of Pattaya or Phuket and are worth exploring.
6 secluded islands perfect for unwinding amidst the 'golden sunshine and blue sea' when visiting Thailand.
Known as a friendly tourist destination, Thailand attracts millions of visitors each year. Famous spots like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket... have become crowded and a bit cliché, but fret not. The 6 islands below offer new, untouched destinations for travel enthusiasts to explore.
1. Similan Islands
Consisting of 11 small islands, the Similan Islands are located north of Phuket Island, with Koh Island as the main attraction. The scenery here is like a painting, with smooth white sand beaches, crystal-clear blue waters, and coconut trees swaying in the wind. Visitors can enjoy tropical coral diving and observe marine creatures such as sharks, rays, and more.

The easiest way to reach Similan is by taking a direct flight from Bangkok to Phuket, then purchasing tickets to the island from travel companies right at the airport.
2. Koh Bulon Leh Island
Koh Bulon Leh may not be a famous island, but perhaps that's why it has become a 'precious gem' for its untouched beauty, tranquility, and beachside bamboo huts. The island is quite small; you can walk from one end to the other in 20 minutes.
To get to Koh Bulon Leh, you can fly to Thailand's Trang Airport and then take a ferry to Koh Lipe or Koh Lanta. From there, continue by speedboat or ferry to visit Koh Bulon Leh.

3. Koh Phayam Island
If you're someone who loves exploring remote places, then Koh Phayam is the ideal destination for you to stop by. This island is considered one of the most untouched islands by local people due to the lack of infrastructure investment.
At Koh Phayam, tourists can participate in yoga, kiteboarding, or diving. One note is not to forget to bring cash because there are no ATMs here.

The most convenient way to reach Koh Phayam is to fly to Surat Thani and then transfer by road to Ranong, followed by a ferry to Koh Phayam.
4. Koh Mak Island
If you try to google Koh Mak, you'll see your screen filled with pictures of azure blue skies. Rest assured, anyone who thought these photos were edited will have to change their mind after visiting because the colors in those pictures are entirely real.

From Bangkok, you can head south to Rayon or Trat, then take a ferry to Koh Chang, followed by a 10-minute ride to Laem Ngop Pier. Here, you'll catch another ferry or speedboat directly to Koh Mak.
5. Koh Yao Island
Situated between Krabi and Phuket, yet Koh Yao feels like a different world. Koh Yao comprises a group of small interconnected islands, among which Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi are the main ones. It's a wonderful place for beach strolls, hammock lounging, and admiring endless rice fields.

6. Koh Mook Island
As the gateway to the Andaman Sea, Koh Mook is a place where you'll utter the word 'paradise' when you arrive. The sea around Koh Mook boasts a mesmerizing emerald green color, with a small local population who are very friendly and easy to befriend.

Koh Mok is part of Trang City, so you can purchase daily boat tickets here. You can also reach Koh Mok from nearby islands like Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe.
