Traveling to Cam Ranh is still a relatively new experience, offering plenty of interesting things for visitors to explore. In Cam Ranh, you can immerse yourself in the picturesque natural scenery, untouched by human hands.
Don't Miss These 7 Exciting Destinations When Visiting Cam Ranh
1. Long Beach
Despite being just over 20 kilometers from the city center of Nha Trang and about 12 kilometers from the airport, Long Beach boasts a pristine natural environment. Unlike the modern amenities found elsewhere, the road from the airport to the city center is wide, paved, and adorned with flowers. Here, you won't find anything modern. Stretching over 10 kilometers, this beach features nothing but blue sea and white sand. Along the coastline are tall white sand dunes, a sight rarely seen elsewhere.

Although it's called Long Beach, the actual length of the beach is only about 1 kilometer, measured from the foot of the mountain to the next bay. However, the beach here is smooth, very clean, and notably untouched by human hands. On calm days with low tide, a vast expanse of sand is revealed. The sea here is quite shallow, making it safe for tourists, even those who can't swim. The experience of swimming here is different from that at Nha Trang Beach because you won't be disturbed by the noise of engines on the streets, jet skis, or beachgoers. It can be said that Long Beach is very conducive to the development of tourism in Cam Ranh in particular and Nha Trang in general. Therefore, Long Beach has been planned for the construction of many high-end resorts. Notable examples include The Anam and Duyen Ha.

2. Sealife
Sealife Beach Fun Zone covers a total area of 5,000m² in Cam Hai Dong commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province, located in a beautiful sea area with smooth sand and clear blue water at Long Beach. When you visit this entertainment area, you will be amazed by Vietnam's largest floating water park, spanning 2000m² and offering many exciting experiences.

Here, you can experience various water sports such as parasailing, jet skiing, and surfing. Additionally, you can go snorkeling to admire coral reefs, ride banana boats on the sea, or observe marine fish from bamboo basket boats. With bold investments in new types of thrilling games such as underwater motor driving, and floating water parks, Sealife has become a familiar destination for many young people who love adrenaline-pumping water activities.

Although it has been officially operational for less than a year, Sealife Beach Fun Zone is truly a new and exciting entertainment destination, attracting many young people eager to experience Cam Ranh's beach. Besides enjoying water entertainment at Sealife, you can also relax and admire the long stretches of white sandy beaches, immerse yourself in the cool blue sea, or savor delicious fresh seafood in the beachside cottages.

3. Binh Lap Peninsula
Located in the Tứ Bình – Cam Ranh coastal area, however, Binh Lap is not well-known to tourists because its location is almost entirely secluded from the outside world. Traveling to Binh Lap doesn't require much expense but offers nearly pristine experiences with endless stretches of blue sea and white sand. You can visit Binh Lap at any time of the year. For spring and summer months, Binh Lap's sea is crystal clear, making it the best time to explore Binh Lap.

Entering Binh Lap is like stepping into a completely different world. Despite being a peninsula, this place is secluded from the outside world. In Binh Lap, you can explore Binh Chau Beach, which is easy to find and has many eateries. Ngang Beach is also a popular spot for exploration, located in front of Villa Golden Flower. Due to its clear and clean water, locals set up many nets here for shrimp farming. Additionally, you can rent a boat to visit Con Island and other pristine beaches around Binh Lap.

4. Binh Ba Island
Located in Cam Ranh city (Khanh Hoa province), Binh Ba Island is famously dubbed as the 'lobster island' due to the richness of lobsters despite its small and relatively untouched island area. Moreover, Binh Ba is gradually developing into a tourist hotspot. In recent years, islanders have become accustomed to seeing tourists from afar eagerly setting foot on the pier, excitedly exploring the remarkable features of this pristine island area.

Three famous beaches on Binh Ba are Chuong Beach, Nom Beach, and Old House Beach. Each beach has its own characteristics for you to explore according to your preferences. While Chuong Beach is a perfect spot to admire the beautiful sunrise, setting up a tent to enjoy the sunset at Nom Beach is also a great choice. Old House Beach is loved for its deep clear water and romantic surroundings. Many people choose Old House Beach for snorkeling, trying their hand at catching seafood.

5. Ong Tu Van Pagoda
Tu Van Pagoda was built in 1968 on 3/4 Street, Cam Ranh City. Constructed mainly from seashells and coral, the pagoda is also known as Ong Tu Pagoda or Coral Pagoda. Thanks to its unique architecture, the pagoda has become an attractive tourist destination. The most impressive feature for visitors is the 39-meter-high Bao Tich Tower, recognized as the tallest in Vietnam. The tower has a sophisticated structure with 49 small pyramidal towers on the outside, each containing a thousand-handed, thousand-eyed Buddha statue; atop each small tower is a small stupa. Hundreds of large and small Buddha statues are meticulously arranged on this tower.

Exploring the '18 Levels of Hell' journey at Ong Tu Pagoda is a fascinating experience. The path down to the 'hell' is only about 500 meters long, but it is meticulously constructed from coral stone and seashells, with captivating dragon-shaped exteriors. As you descend deep into the earth, the path becomes dark, narrow, and winding. Along the way are 12 tablets depicting the sins of mortals and the punishments at the gates of hell, resembling admonitions for people to live virtuously and compassionately. Sometimes, you may be startled by the glimpse of terrifying tortures illuminated in flickering light.

6. Hon Ba Nature Reserve

Hon Ba is a mountain located between Khánh Phú commune, Khanh Vinh district, and Suoi Cat commune, Cam Lam district, approximately 60 km southwest of Nha Trang city. Standing at 1578 meters above sea level, the winding road from the foot to the summit twists and turns, resembling a snake coiling around the mountain peak. The average gradient here is 8 degrees, making it relatively easy to ascend to the summit.

With an altitude higher than Dalat, the temperature on Hon Ba ranges from 10-20 degrees Celsius, with clouds covering the area year-round. The road to Hon Ba is said to pass through primeval forests, but now only a few ancient trees remain, with many low shrubs dominating the landscape. Near the summit, one side of the mountain slope is clear blue sky, while the other side is filled with drifting clouds. Over 8 years ago, Khanh Hoa province opened the road to Hon Ba, and Yasaka Nha Trang Hotel invested in developing tourism. However, today, Hon Ba is almost merely a destination for people to visit the place where Dr. Yersin once lived and worked.
7. Binh Hung Island

If you're already familiar with the lobster island of Binh Ba, you can venture to Binh Hung Island nearby to discover the new wonders of this raw gem. Binh Hung Island is located in the deep waters of Cam Ranh Bay. You can catch sight of this beautiful island as you traverse the spectacular Vinh Hy – Binh Tien pass.

Stepping foot on the island, you'll be immediately drawn in by the azure sea and pristine white sandy beaches. The beaches here may not be as long and wide as those in Mui Ne or Nha Trang, but they are always clean and crystal clear to the bottom. The sea is shallow, calm, and just a few dozen meters out, chest-deep, you'll already see coral right beneath your feet. Particularly, the beaches are dotted with vividly colorful and uniquely shaped rock formations.
