4. Ninh Van Commune
Visiting the island commune of Ninh Van feels like receiving a precious gift from the magnificent nature. 5. Historical Site of the Numberless Ship
Another must-visit destination on Hon Heo Peninsula is the nationally recognized historical site of the Numberless Ship 235. This site is closely associated with the resilient combat and heroic sacrifice of Captain Nguyen Phan Vinh and the officers and soldiers of Ship 235. Captain Nguyen Phan Vinh was honored as a Hero of the People's Armed Forces and the island of Phan Vinh in Truong Sa district was named in his honor.
In 2011, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Sea Trail, the Numberless Ship 235 site on Hon Heo was awarded the title of a provincial-level historical and cultural relic by the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee. On May 5, 2014, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recognized the Numberless Ship 235 site on Hon Heo as a national-level historical site.
