Slow travel is a way to immerse yourself in nature and completely disconnect from the ordinary hustle and bustle of life. To find the perfect place for slow living, look no further than Lam Dong.
Explore a Slow Travel Itinerary for the April 30th - May 1st Holiday
Here is a suggested itinerary for a 4-day, 3-night slow travel journey in Lam Dong.

Day 1: Saigon – Duc Trong, Lam Dong
On the first day of your slow travel adventure, choose Duc Trong, Lam Dong, to experience a life harmonized with nature. Duc Trong offers a cool and pleasant atmosphere like Dalat, but without the excessive noise and hustle of tourists.
Selected accommodation: Treehouse Homestay. You can book a Limousine from Saigon directly to this location for 220,000 VND per person one way, providing doorstep service up to the homestay. For reservations and transportation, contact Homestay at 0972.227.702.
Upon arrival, engage in various recreational activities such as photography, badminton, table tennis, or reading. Disconnect entirely from the online world and the hustle and bustle of the urban life behind you. You can order a home-cooked meal at Treehouse Homestay, featuring fresh vegetables and locally sourced meat and fish.

Day 2: Mountain Trekking in Duc Trong, Immersing in Nature
Around the Treehouse Homestay area, there are plenty of opportunities for mountain trekking and scenic views. Trekking helps release toxins accumulated during city living, and breathing in the fresh mountain air significantly improves your health.
Here are some day trekking routes you can consider:
Tour 1: Chay Dzui Mountain - by motorbike or plow 14km, then a 25-minute hike to the summit. The route includes asphalt roads, dirt roads, villages, and refreshing pine forests. Enjoy panoramic views of Ninh Thuan, beautiful and majestic mountains, in serene tranquility. Note: In rainy weather, motorcycles may struggle on the 3km dirt road; the beauty of this place is beyond capture in images or videos.
** Additional Gains: Explore Ma Bo Dam
Tour 2: Ong Mountain - 10km by motorbike or plow, 40 minutes to climb Trdoc. The route includes asphalt and dirt roads, villages, with the downside of sparse shade, steep and straight slopes. The upside is the mesmerizing scenery of Binh Thuan, offering nearly 360-degree panoramic views.
** Added Value: Visit K’Long Bong Dam
Tour 3: Bamboo House Plantation (Butterfly Valley - covered with golden butterflies in June-July): 2km on asphalt road by motorbike, 8km hiking on dirt roads through pine forests (round trip). Enjoy the peaceful, cool, and fresh atmosphere of the large pine forest. Downside: You may want to stay in the tent at the plantation forever. If you still have energy, you can visit the Ma Bo hillside.

Day 3: Slow Living in Dalat
For a change of scenery, you can move back to Dalat to enjoy the holiday. To avoid the hustle and bustle of the city, consider camping on the hills surrounding Dalat.
You can contact the Homestay's shuttle service to travel directly to the center of Da Lat. Here, you can buy groceries for cooking, or I recommend getting barbecue meat or hotpot from local eateries.
Some hills around Da Lat city are perfect for camping, such as Thien Phuc Hill, Hon Bo Hill, Da Phu Hill, and Tuyen Lam Hill. Build a campfire, sing and eat without being affected by the hustle and bustle of the urban life.

Day 4: Explore Da Lat and return
Wake up early to embrace the beautiful sunrise of Da Lat and take in the fresh air. Then, return to the city center to enjoy the local specialties of Da Lat. During the April 30th - May 1st holiday, the purple phoenix flowers in Da Lat are in full bloom. You can stroll around Xuan Huong Lake and take photos. After a 4-day holiday with a slow-paced itinerary and breathing in the fresh air, you will return to the city with a renewed energy and a relaxed spirit for life.
