- Opt for medium-sized artichoke buds, not too young or old. Wash them thoroughly, remove the tough outer parts, split them in half, and discard the inner chokes. Trim the stems, removing any fibrous parts, and cut into 3cm pieces. Peel and finely chop garlic and dried shallots.
- Choose pork hock preferably, wash it with diluted salt water, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Marinate the pork with 2 teaspoons of MSG, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, minced shallots, 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper, 1 teaspoon of MSG, and 1 teaspoon of cooking oil for 15 minutes.

- Peel and wash the carrots, cut into round slices about 0.5cm thick or carve into flower shapes. Wash the cauliflower, cut into bite-sized pieces. Remove the stems from the horn peppers, slice thinly; clean and finely chop cilantro and spring onions.
