Mark your calendars! Jurassic World: Dominion is officially set to premiere on June 10th this year.
The dinosaur realm is poised to return to the big screen through the blockbuster Jurassic World: Dominion, concluding the Jurassic World trilogy and potentially the entire Jurassic Park franchise. The first trailer for this film was officially revealed on February 10th, offering initial glimpses of the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs in the modern world.
While the storyline of Dominion remains a mystery, one thing is certain – a Jurassic World production is incomplete without an array of colossal dinosaurs, ranging from gentle giants to formidable predators. Below are all the species that appeared in the trailer for this film.
Meet Parasaurolophus: The Herbivorous Marvel

Parasaurolophus, a herbivorous dinosaur, once glimpsed in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Its distinctive crest is not a horn, as commonly believed, but a part of the skull designed to enhance hearing and communication. In the trailer, we witness Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) herding a group of Parasaurolophus across the plains, seemingly attempting to tame them, reminiscent of his successful bond with his dinosaur companion, Blue.
Giganticus Rex

Giganticus Rex is a colossal herbivorous dinosaur that graces the screens in every installment of the Jurassic World saga. Its distinctive features include an extraordinarily long neck, an extended tail, short front limbs, and a flattened nose with minuscule nostrils. In Dominion's trailer, Giganticus Rex is showcased traversing an icy terrain, hinting at the challenges these dinosaurs face adapting to the modern Earth climate.
Raptor Fury

In the Dominion trailer, we witness an abundance of Raptor Fury, primarily depicted in scenes where they attack humans or tend to their young. There are two variants of Raptor Fury: one with scaly skin resembling the famed Velociraptor Blue from Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, and the other adorned with feathers, blending seamlessly with nature.
Abyssal Leviathan

The Abyssal Leviathan makes a fleeting appearance in the Dominion trailer but leaves a lasting impression as it emerges from the depths of the ocean to attack a fishing vessel. Likely the same Mosasaurus from the previous Jurassic World films, it now roams freely across Earth's oceans. Known for its ferocious nature and massive jaws, the Abyssal Leviathan might be the most formidable creature in Dominion, having previously devoured an Indominous Rex in a single powerful bite.
Rex Titan

Rex Titan stands as a vital icon within the Jurassic World franchise, making its anticipated return in this film. The T-Rex has played various roles, sometimes as a fierce adversary and, at other times, as a formidable ally to humanity. This colossal, bipedal creature is the epitome of a top-tier predator, dominating the vast world of dinosaurs.
Swift Shadows

A glimpse of a Compsognathus skeleton occurs during the reunion scene between Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill). Known for their danger in pack hunting, as vividly portrayed in The Lost World, Jurassic Park 3, and Fallen Kingdom, it's no surprise that these swift shadows may continue to make an impact in Dominion. The recent trailer provides a mere hint at their fossilized presence.
Mystic Scythe

In the trailer, the Mystic Scythe, or Therizinosaurus, makes an appearance as it stalks Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) through a dense forest. Despite being an herbivore, Therizinosaurus exhibits peculiarly aggressive behavior. A new addition to the Jurassic World roster, these feathered, beaked dinosaurs share an uncanny kinship with carnivorous birds, although their elongated claws are often used for ground-related activities rather than hunting.
Rampaging Horned Giants

Causing chaos in a European square, a pair of Allosaurus nearly swallowed Owen in the Dominion trailer. In Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, one Allosaurus successfully escaped the erupting volcanic island, ensuring its return in the upcoming blockbuster. Considered a smaller counterpart to Tyrannosaurs, the distinctive feature lies in the horn-like structures atop their heads.
Sky-Ripping Quetzalcoatlus

In the Dominion trailer, a colossal Quetzalcoatlus tears through the sky, directly attacking Owen and Claire's aircraft. This dinosaur species has never appeared in previous Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films. With adept flying capabilities, they promise to diversify and intensify the battle between humans and dinosaurs.
Ruthless Pteranodon Squadron

Accompanying Quetzalcoatlus in the aerial assault is a ruthless flock of Pteranodons. Despite being smaller, they possess excellent flying abilities and have been a consistent presence in the franchise since Jurassic Park: The Lost World, creating chaos at various levels. Pteranodon is perhaps the most recognizable dinosaur in Dominion, thanks to its distinctive head crest and spear-like beak.
Spectacular Dilophosaurus

In the trailer, there's a moment where Claire confronts a vibrant Dilophosaurus. This dinosaur makes its return since the Jurassic Park series, famously advertised for its ability to spit corrosive acid to attract park visitors. However, in reality, Dilophosaurus likely couldn't produce such hazardous chemical compounds and might only possess deadly venom. Furthermore, there's no fossil evidence of Dilophosaurus existing in the wild, suggesting they might be the result of genetic experiments conducted by Jurassic Park geneticists.
Rugged Nasutoceratops

Dominion's trailer introduces a herd of Nasutoceratops, using their robust horns to forcefully toss aside human armored vehicles. While bearing similarities to the classic Triceratops, Nasutoceratops has never appeared in any Jurassic World films. Unlike Triceratops, they lack horns on their snouts, and their nature seems significantly more aggressive.
Gigantic Giganotosaurus

In the trailer's climax, a colossal and terrifying dinosaur, even larger and more menacing than the T-Rex, emerges from the shadows to close in on the main characters. Featured in Dominion's teaser, defeating a formidable dinosaur in a dual battle, this is the Giganotosaurus. Its potential impact in this blockbuster remains a mystery, but undoubtedly, Giganotosaurus will be one of the most formidable and greatest predators in the new world of dinosaurs.
