The Da Nang People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018, stating that the festival will take place over 2 months, from April 30 to June 30.

The theme of the Da Nang Fireworks Festival 2018 is “Legends of Bridges.” The event is organized by Sun Group Corporation, with Global Company as the performance consultant. Alongside the fireworks festival, various entertaining activities will welcome visitors throughout the summer of 2018.
The Da Nang Fireworks Festival 2018 features 8 participating teams: Vietnam, Poland, France, the United States, Italy, Hong Kong, Sweden, and Portugal. Each team will perform for 5 nights, with each display lasting between 20-22 minutes (not less than 20 minutes and not exceeding 22 minutes).
The evaluation criteria for performances include creativity, diversity, and the theme of the display; richness, variety of colors, uniqueness, and quality of the performance; scale and quantity of effects; synchronization between sound (background music) and fireworks images; adherence to the theme and expression of the theme's significance in DIFF. The prize for the champion team is $10,000, a trophy, and a certificate.
In addition to the mesmerizing fireworks display, the Da Nang Fireworks Festival 2018 featured various exciting supplementary activities. The Street Parade comprised 12 themed floats organized by DIFF, parading on specified evenings excluding those with fireworks shows. Culinary enthusiasts enjoyed a delightful food space from April 28 to June 30 at Asia Park. The main stage of DIFF 2018 showcased artistic performances by both domestic and international artists, including actors and musicians. Local departments, organizations, and businesses also presented their programs during the festival.

As approved by the Da Nang People's Committee, the fireworks display will take place at the Han River Port area along Bach Dang Street, right across from Novotel Da Nang.
