During the 5th Quang Nam Heritage Festival in 2013, visitors exploring the ancient town of Hoi An (Hoi An City) and the My Son Sanctuary (Duy Xuyen District) will receive complimentary tickets from June 21st to June 26th.
The 5th Quang Nam Heritage Festival will be held from June 22nd to June 26th in Hoi An City, the My Son Sanctuary, and numerous other locations throughout Quang Nam Province. The festival will consist of three main parts: the ASEAN Cultural Heritage Space Exhibition; the 3rd International Choir Competition in Vietnam; and the finale of the Miss Vietnam Ethnic Groups Pageant. Additionally, there will be an International Choir Competition, a Folk Art Festival of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, Cham Cultural Day, the program 'Recreating the 20th Century Old Town of Hoi An,' the National Beach Football Championship, the Quang Nam Heritage Festival Golf Tournament, and an exhibition of handicraft products.
Currently, the heritage festival is concurrently taking place in various other locations such as Dien Ban, Nam Giang, and Tam Ky, but the focal points are the two UNESCO World Cultural Heritages in Quang Nam (Hoi An and My Son).
During this period, Quang Nam Province is also promoting new tourist destinations such as tours to Phu Ninh Lake, experiences along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and visits to the traditional Zora ethnic weaving village.
Quang Nam provincial leaders stated that during the festival days, there will be a significant increase in visitors. To prevent issues such as price gouging and chaos in tourism, the province has implemented various measures to stabilize accommodation and goods services. Currently, there are 5,500-6,000 rooms ready to accommodate guests, and hotels in Da Nang are also mobilized to serve this festival.
Most hotels in Hoi An pledge to establish price lists, sell at listed prices, and support 10% of total rooms for performance groups at the Festival.
