Mytour – Dong Son is a district located in the heart of Thanh Hoa province. Situated in the flat area within the Ma River basin, it is bordered to the East by Thanh Hoa city, to the North by Thieu Hoa district, to the West by Trieu Son district, and to the South by Quang Xuong and Nong Cong districts of Thanh Hoa. Dong Son is an ancient land, the dwelling place of ancient Vietnamese people. It is a renowned archaeological site in Vietnam, revealing the Dong Son culture of the Lac Viet people. It is particularly famous for the largest collection of Dong Son bronze drums found in Vietnam, hence the drums found here are called Dong Son bronze drums.
