What are the benefits of dissolving Zalo groups and deleting groups on Zalo?
In other applications, to delete a group, you would have to manually remove each member from the group. Imagine the time it would take to manually remove 1000 members. Because of this issue, Zalo has added the feature to dissolve groups to quickly remove all members from the group. Dissolving a group is similar to deleting a group, Zalo will automatically remove members from the group and delete all chat history in the group (cannot be restored). Members in the group who are not friends with each other will become strangers after the group is deleted, not appearing in the friends list.
Marketers heavily utilize the group dissolution feature on Zalo. After conveying the necessary information to everyone, they opt to dissolve the group to avoid inconveniencing others.
2. How to dissolve groups, delete Zalo chat groups on your phone
On the mobile platform, you can easily dissolve Zalo chat groups quickly through the Zalo chat group management settings.
Step 1: Open the Chat group on Zalo that needs to be dissolved/deleted and select Options => Group Settings to view group features.
Step 2: Then, you select Dissolve group => Dissolve to remove all members and messages in the group permanently.
Note: When deleting, dissolving groups on Zalo cannot be undone (restored) back to group members or messages in the group. Therefore, you should carefully consider before dissolving groups on Zalo, remember to back up all important messages to avoid data loss.
3. How to dissolve groups, delete Zalo chat groups on the computer
Similar to the mobile platform, chat groups on the Zalo computer application can also be deleted, dissolved quickly through settings. To delete Zalo chat groups on the computer, you need to do as follows:
Step 1: Open the chat group you want to dissolve on Zalo computer and select Options (two square icons).
Step 2: In the options section, open Group Management to view all settings related to Zalo chat groups.
Step 3: Finally, you just need to select Dissolve group to delete the group and all members in the group/conversation.
Step 4: Before deleting the group, you will need to confirm once with the Dissolve group notification. This means that it cannot be restored (including messages and members, images,...)
