1. Explore Lesser-Known Methods to Eliminate Mold and Stains on Clothes
Clothes with mold not only harm the fabric but also affect your skin. Today, this article will share tips to effortlessly and quickly eliminate mold and stubborn stains.
1. Use an Old Toothbrush
Step 1: Brush Mold with the Toothbrush
Use an old toothbrush to scrub damp mold and stain marks on clothes. At this stage, you can remove a substantial amount of mold or stains from the fabric. After scrubbing, discard the toothbrush to prevent mold particles from spreading in the air or contaminating other clothes.

Step 2: Spray Stain Remover on Mold Stains
Next, use a fabric stain remover and spray it directly onto the area affected by damp mold or stubborn stains. Subsequently, soak the mold and stain marks for at least 30 minutes before laundering.

Step 3: Wash Clothes with Hot Water and Cooking Vinegar
Wash your clothes in hot water with cooking vinegar to not only eliminate about 80% of mold spores but also remove the unpleasant mold odor from the fabric. First, pour cooking vinegar into the washing machine drum. Start the washing machine and wait until the water is full. Then press the pause button and soak the clothes for about an hour. After soaking for an hour, press resume to continue the wash cycle.

Step 4: Dry the Clothes
After washing, you can use the available drying function in the washing machine to shorten the drying time. Alternatively, you can air-dry the clothes in sunlight. Remember to ensure your clothes are thoroughly dry to prevent mold growth.

2. Use Bleach Stain Remover
Step 1: Select the Hot Water Washing Mode
Hot water not only softens and easily removes dirt but also helps eliminate bacteria and mold on clothes.

Step 2: Add Detergent and Stain Remover to the Detergent Tray
Next, add detergent and stain remover to the detergent tray. Adjust the amount of detergent and stain remover based on the quantity of clothes for a balanced mix.

Step 3: Wash Clothes
After adding detergent and stain remover, press the start button for the washing machine to run and operate normally. Then, either tumble dry the clothes or air-dry them thoroughly in sunlight to ensure effective mold removal.

3. Use Soldering Flux
Step 1: Select the Hot Water Washing Mode
Similar to the methods above, start by choosing the hot water washing mode for clothes affected by mold. Then, place the moldy clothes in the washing machine, prepare detergent and stain remover with a bit of water, and pour the mixture into the washing drum.

Avoid washing moldy clothes together with regular ones.
Step 2: Dissolve Soldering Flux in Hot Water
Measure about ½ cup of soldering flux and dilute it with 1 cup of hot water. Stir the mixture thoroughly until the soldering flux completely dissolves in the water. After the soldering flux has completely dissolved in water, pour this mixture into the washing drum. Then, start the washing machine as usual.

Finally, air-dry the freshly washed clothes in sunlight or tumble dry them using a washing machine. Ensure your clothes are thoroughly dry to prevent further mold growth.
