The ultra-thin SpaceMax border technology
Samsung introduces SpaceMax technology for the first time on the Samsung Side by Side fridge series. This technology optimizes storage space, increases capacity, while maintaining the original size. The new technology uses Urethane pump walls with elasticity, heat resistance, and good insulation, with a thickness ranging from 15 to 30 mm. The use of Urethane pump walls significantly reduces the thickness of the fridge frame.
BlueAg bacteria-killing technology
Panasonic refers to its fridge's bacteria-killing technology as BlueAg. Specifically, the brand's fridge uses blue light from LED lights to activate the silver surface on the Ag filter grid. From there, it creates Hydroxyl free radicals (OH). The OH radicals will adhere to and absorb the Hydrogen of bacteria, then form water to eliminate bacteria at the filter grid. In essence, this technology works similarly to ionizing machines - attracting negatively charged bacteria, then breaking down the protein structure of bacteria and forming H2O radicals.
Door Cooling+ Cooling Technology
True to its name, LG's Door Cooling+ technology creates a cold air stream from the fridge door. Traditional fridges often distribute cold air from behind or both sides, circulating it throughout the compartments. When the fridge isn't fully stocked, the cold air may not reach the front, reducing preservation efficiency. LG's door-based cooling technology addresses this issue.
All-Around Cooling Vault Cooling Technology
Samsung introduces the vault cooling technology on this year's latest Side by Side fridge generation, maintaining continuous temperature control. Each shelf has its dedicated air vent, creating a counter-flow of air to ensure uniform temperature across all areas. The Power Cool and Power Freeze functions also aid in rapid cooling or freezing of food with just a press of a button, providing 'super-fast' results.
