How to check Social Insurance payments on your phone
1. Check BHXH Contribution History via VssID App
* Method 1: Check contribution history through the web browser
Step 1: Access VssID's BHXH information lookup page, select 'check participation history'. Click quick access Here
Step 2: Enter information in required fields (marked with *)
- Province/city: Enter the address of the BHXH unit (company address or your residence address)
- Social insurance agency: Choose the correct social insurance agency that your company/individual is participating in
- Select social insurance lookup time: Choose the time range to check the contribution history, participation
- Enter Full name, ID card, BHXH number
- Enter phone number to receive OTP code: The phone number must match the phone number in the labor contract from the first time you contribute to BHXH.
After entering the necessary information, click 'I am not a robot' and click on the 'receive OTP code' box
Step 3: Enter the OTP code sent to your phone, press 'check'. The screen displays all information about the time, process you contribute to BHXH on the app.
Note: If you have recently renewed your ID card/citizen identification and have not updated the information about the new ID card/identification with the insurance company, you need to re-enter the old ID card/identification number to be able to check.
* Method 2: Check BHXH payments on your phone through the VssID app
- Step 1: Download and install the VssID app on your phone

- Step 2: Access the VssID app on your phone, enter your BHXH number, password, press 'login' to access the system
- Step 3: On the homepage, select 'personal management', then choose 'Participation process BH'
- Step 4: The screen displays your entire participation history in BHXH
If the information you provide is complete and valid, the system will automatically query the information and return a result table showing your BHXH contribution history. The results include information about your name, contribution time, position, insurance unit, contribution amount, ... Additionally, if you want to check the participation process in BHXH, BHTNLD, BHYT, you can select the corresponding options on the screen.
In case the information you provide is missing or incorrect, you will not receive a result table corresponding to your query.
2.Check the BHXH contribution history via SMS
If you do not want to go through the steps of entering information above, readers can easily check the BHXH contribution history via SMS through the 8079 hotline (the hotline for checking BHXH information via messages from Vietnam Social Insurance).
* Check the total time of participation in BHXH
Syntax: BH QT {BHXH code} send to 8079.
Example 1: With the social insurance book with code 3838110258, to check the total time of participation in BHXH, you need to compose the message as follows: BH QT 3838110258 send to 8079
* Check the time of BHXH contribution within a time frame
Syntax: BH QT {BHXH code} {from month-year} {to month-year} send to 8079.
Example 2: With the same BHXH code in example 1, if you want to check the participation time in BHXH from 01/2020 - 12/2020, you need to compose the message following this syntax: BH QT 3838110258 012020 122020 send to 8079.
* Check the time of BHXH contribution by year
Syntax: BH QT {BHXH code} {from year} {to year} send 8079.
Example 3: Continuing with the data from example 2, if you want to check the participation time in BHXH from 2020 - 2021, you compose the message BH QT 3838110258 2020 2021 send 8079.
When checking Social Insurance contribution through SMS on your phone, you only receive messages from the hotline returning the total time of contribution, participation in BHXH corresponding to the query, without including detailed information such as name, BHXH code, position, contribution amount as in the VssID app query operation. This is also considered the most common method of checking participation in BHXH processes without the need for OTP code.
