Japanese egg ramen is a delightful treat that isn't overly spicy, making it perfect for your family's breakfast. Check out the recipe below!
For those who admire the enchanting culture of the Land of the Rising Sun, the renowned dish - ramen, holds a special place in its culinary heritage. Japanese ramen comes in various preparations and distinct flavors, but the common elements include chewy noodles, soft and flavorful poached eggs, and a sweet, refreshing broth. Here, PasGo guides you through the incredibly simple recipe for egg ramen with the most authentic Japanese flavor.

Ingredients:
(serving for 1 person)
- 2 packs of ramen noodles
- 2-3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons of chicken powder
- 1 small sprig of ginger
- 2 - 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 - 2 eggs
- 3 stalks of green onions.
Note: You can easily find ramen noodles and chicken powder at your local grocery store!
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the ingredients
- Cleanly pick and finely chop the green onions.
- Peel and slice the ginger.
- Peel the garlic and crush it.
Step 2: Execution
- Place a pot of water on the stove, then boil the eggs. Once the eggs are cooked, you can remove them and put them in cold water to peel them more easily.
- Next, cut the eggs in half.
Note: When boiling the eggs, avoid letting the water boil vigorously. Turn off the heat after about 10 minutes for a delicious and nutritious poached egg.
- Continuing, place another pot of water on the stove to cook the noodles. Wait until the water boils, then add the ramen noodles and cook until done. Afterward, scoop out the noodles and drain excess water.

- Next, it's time for the broth. Pour about 300ml of water into another pot and place it on medium heat. Then, add soy sauce and chicken powder in the correct proportion to the pot and stir until the chicken powder is completely dissolved.
- Now, add ginger, garlic, and sesame oil to the pot. Stir the ingredients well to infuse the flavors into the broth. Simmer for about 5 - 7 minutes, then turn off the heat.
- Finally, strain the broth into a bowl through a fine mesh sieve for a clear and sediment-free broth. Then, add the ramen noodles to the bowl. Top it with the poached egg and sprinkle with chopped green onions, and you're ready to savor the dish.

Note: The most crucial element in creating a perfect bowl of ramen is the broth. Therefore, make sure to use the correct quantities of ingredients or adjust them flexibly to suit your taste.
Enhance the above egg ramen recipe by adding some slices of cold cuts, dried seaweed, corn kernels, and vegetables to make your ramen bowl more unique. This ramen dish features a sweet and clear broth, unlike the spicy Vietnamese instant noodles, ensuring both nutrition and flavor.
