1. Adjusting the Temperature of LG Refrigerators
To use LG refrigerators quickly and accurately, you first need to understand how to adjust the temperature. Currently, LG refrigerators come in two types: mechanical and touch control panels. So, what's the difference in adjusting the temperature between these two types?
1.1 For LG Refrigerators with Inner Dial
The temperature adjustment dial is located in both the freezer and fresh food compartments. Users only need to turn this dial to increase/decrease the operating temperature of the refrigerator. The temperature is pre-set with numbers ranging from 1 to 7, from left to right. Number 1 is the least cold, and number 7 is the coldest.
The airflow adjustment button in the ice compartment usually takes the form of a sliding bar and is located in the freezer with the function of increasing/decreasing the refrigerator's temperature. If you slide the bar to MAX, more cold air will be drawn into the freezer. And if you reduce it to the minimum by sliding the bar to MIN, the amount of cold air supplied to the freezer will decrease, and the remaining cold air will be pushed down to the fresh food compartment.
1.2 For LG Refrigerators with Control Panels
Fresh food compartment: To adjust the temperature in the LG refrigerator's fresh food compartment with a control panel, tap the FRIDGE button, increasing by 1 degree with each tap. The temperature in the fresh food compartment is limited to 1 to 7°C. It is recommended to set it at an average of 4°C when there's not much food to preserve.

On LG refrigerators, there are essential functions you need to learn how to use, such as:
2.1 Control Panel Lock Function
The purpose of this feature is to prevent others from accidentally touching and altering previous settings. To activate this function, simply touch and hold the “CHILD LOCK” button for about 3 seconds to disable operations on the panel. To unlock, users can also touch this button within 3 seconds.
2.2 Door Alarm Function
To activate, users press the “DOOR ALARM” button. The purpose of this function is that if the door is open but not closed for more than 1 minute, an alarm sound 'beep, beep' will continuously sound every 30 seconds until the door is fully closed.
2.3 Super Fast Ice Making Function
Simply press the EXPRESS FRZ button to activate and press again to turn off. When adequately frozen, the refrigerator will automatically turn off this function. When the super-fast ice-making function is activated, it is displayed on the LED screen with a circular icon and a 6-blade star.
3. Tips for Using LG Refrigerators
Even when not using ice, users should still make ice and keep the tray filled in the refrigerator. Ice in the freezer helps maintain a more stable temperature and saves electricity. In case of a power outage, the frozen ice provides cold, preserving food for a period before power is restored.
Avoid placing glass bottles or carbonated water cans in the ice compartment, as they are prone to breakage when taken out. Food should be tightly sealed or placed in containers with lids before placing them in the refrigerator.
Store fresh produce at the optimal temperature of 18°C. If the refrigerator is not heavily loaded, you can set it at -12°C, but at this temperature, fresh produce won't last as long.
