According to local guides, Trà Sư is accessible year-round, but the best time to visit is during the flooded season from September to November.
Tân Lập Floating Village, Long An
Tân Lập Floating Village, also known as Tân Lập Melaleuca Forest, is located in Moc Hoa district, Long An province. This relatively new destination on the tourism map is captivating visitors who seek relaxation and immersion in the lush greenery of the melaleuca forest, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Visitors to Tân Lập Floating Village can explore a 5-kilometer jungle trail, marvel at the towering melaleuca trees, and enjoy boat rides to discover the scenic beauty of the marshlands. Capture beautiful moments amidst blooming lotus and water lily fields.

There are two ways to reach this pristine forest. Firstly, from Ho Chi Minh City, take National Route 1A towards Tan An city (Long An) for about 40km, then continue on National Route 62 towards Moc Hoa district for another 62km until you reach the floating village. Secondly, you can start from the center of Cu Chi town heading towards Ben Luc district (Long An) approximately 70km until you reach the last intersection, then turn right and go another 35km to your destination.
Tram Chim National Park, Dong Thap
Tram Chim National Park, located in Tam Nong district, Dong Thap province, has been a conservation area since 1994. It boasts the largest flooded land area in the Dong Thap Muoi region, recognized as the 4th Ramsar biosphere reserve in Vietnam and the 2,000th in the world. Home to over 232 bird species, including rare ones like the Sarus Crane, Purple Heron, Pheasant-tailed Jacana, Black-headed Ibis, and Asian Openbill, it notably shelters the Red-crowned Crane - a species listed as endangered on the world red list.

If you prefer to venture under the forest canopy, you can walk along the unique path within the historical site, which is about 1.5km long. Usually, travelers pass through the An Hữu intersection in Cai Bè district (Tien Giang) to reach Long Hiệp Bridge, and from there, they take a ferry to Xeo Quyt. Alternatively, you can take the road from National Highway 1 and turn onto National Highway 30, heading straight to Xeo Quyt.
Ngã Năm Floating Market, Soc Trang
Ngã Năm Floating Market is located in Ngã Năm town, Thanh Trị district, Soc Trang province. Its unique feature is its position at the intersection of five rivers: Cà Mau, Vĩnh Quới, Long Mỹ, Thanh Trị, and Phụng Hiệp. This is one of the oldest and liveliest floating markets in the Mekong Delta region.
