Trà Sư Melaleuca Forest, An Giang
Nestled in Tinh Bien district, Trà Sư Melaleuca Forest spans approximately 850 hectares and boasts a rich ecosystem, symbolizing the beauty of An Giang's flooded season. Exploring the tranquil waters amidst lush green water ferns, navigating through the intricate paths of the melaleuca forest, and listening to the playful chirping of birds perched on the branches will create unforgettable memories.
To visit Trà Sư Melaleuca Forest, visitors can contact staff to purchase tickets priced at 75,000 VND per person. Motorboats will take you deep into the forest, where you can then transfer to smaller boats for sightseeing and photography opportunities. According to local guides, Trà Sư is accessible year-round, but the best time to visit is during the flooded season from September to November.
Tân Lập Floating Village, Long An
Tân Lập Floating Village, also known as Tân Lập Melaleuca Forest, is located in Moc Hoa district, Long An province. This relatively new destination on the tourism map is captivating visitors who seek relaxation and immersion in the lush greenery of the melaleuca forest, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Visitors to Tân Lập Floating Village can explore a 5-kilometer jungle trail, marvel at the towering melaleuca trees, and enjoy boat rides to discover the scenic beauty of the marshlands. Capture beautiful moments amidst blooming lotus and water lily fields.
There are two ways to reach this pristine forest. Firstly, from Ho Chi Minh City, take National Route 1A towards Tan An city (Long An) for about 40km, then continue on National Route 62 towards Moc Hoa district for another 62km until you reach the floating village. Secondly, you can start from the center of Cu Chi town heading towards Ben Luc district (Long An) approximately 70km until you reach the last intersection, then turn right and go another 35km to your destination.
Tram Chim National Park, Dong Thap
Tram Chim National Park, located in Tam Nong district, Dong Thap province, has been a conservation area since 1994. It boasts the largest flooded land area in the Dong Thap Muoi region, recognized as the 4th Ramsar biosphere reserve in Vietnam and the 2,000th in the world. Home to over 232 bird species, including rare ones like the Sarus Crane, Purple Heron, Pheasant-tailed Jacana, Black-headed Ibis, and Asian Openbill, it notably shelters the Red-crowned Crane - a species listed as endangered on the world red list.
Every year during the flood season, Tram Chim adorns itself with vibrant colors and the splendid dance of nature as the waters inundate the land. Instead of opting for dawn as most do, you can start your exploration journey in the afternoon to enjoy the magnificent scenery.
Dong Tam Snake Farm, Tien Giang
Dong Tam Snake Farm, also known as the pharmaceutical enterprise of Military Region 9, sits alongside the Tien River, covering an area of about 30 hectares, with spacious and refreshing green spaces. It is one of the largest snake farms in Vietnam, housing over 400 species and serving as the first snake museum in Vietnam, attracting many domestic and international tourists for visits, learning, and research.
Here, you can witness everything from harmless non-venomous snakes to extremely venomous ones. The snakes are free-roaming and divided into 3 areas suitable for each species' nature: a water-island breeding area, a venomous snake breeding area, and a python breeding area.
Cai Rang Floating Market, Can Tho

Located at 13 Dien Bien Phu Street, Ward 3, Bac Lieu City. With an area of about 50 hectares, including 20 hectares of melaleuca forest, the rest consists of mangrove forests, climbing plants, etc. Xeo Quyt boasts breathtaking natural scenery with lush greenery. Visitors have two options for transportation when exploring the historical site. If you prefer to venture under the forest canopy, you can walk along the unique path within the historical site, which is about 1.5km long. Otherwise, you can experience the essence of the Mekong Delta by sitting in a sampan, leisurely cruising along small canals to discover the entire area.
Usually, travelers pass through the An Hữu intersection in Cai Bè district (Tien Giang) to reach Long Hiệp Bridge, and from there, they take a ferry to Xeo Quyt. Alternatively, you can take the road from National Highway 1 and turn onto National Highway 30, heading straight to Xeo Quyt.
Ngã Năm Floating Market, Soc Trang
Ngã Năm Floating Market is located in Ngã Năm town, Thanh Trị district, Soc Trang province. Its unique feature is its position at the intersection of five rivers: Cà Mau, Vĩnh Quới, Long Mỹ, Thanh Trị, and Phụng Hiệp. This is one of the oldest and liveliest floating markets in the Mekong Delta region.
