If you're short on time for long trips, consider Vung Tau, a place adorned with beautiful virtual living corners, making it a perfect destination for year-end holidays.
My Journey to the Hallyu-inspired check-in spots in Vung Tau
Vung Tau wasn't initially on my plan. With my sister visiting from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, I seized the opportunity to take a day off and hop on a bus to this famous coastal city. The distance from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau is approximately 100 km, and there are several routes to choose from. You can take a bus or ride a motorbike to get here.
Due to the tight schedule, I opted for a car to ensure safety and health. The ticket price I booked was 170,000 VND/one way/person. It's a bit higher compared to other services, but the plus point is that they pick you up and drop you off at your doorstep. After about 2 hours on the road, you'll arrive in Vung Tau.
Embarking on a Vung Tau journey, I borrowed a friend's car. With just 50,000 VND for gas, you can explore the beautiful landscapes here. Due to limited time, I couldn't reach the more distant places like Xanh Lake, Coc Lake, and Tram Lake in the city center. Nevertheless, wandering around the city center, you can discover many dazzling virtual spots for picturesque moments.
Bai Sau and Bai Truoc are two famous spots in Vung Tau that you shouldn't miss. Both places boast beautiful natural scenery perfect for photography. If you fancy capturing a beach with sandy shores and swings, Bai Sau is a must-visit. Bai Truoc stands out with a surrounding embankment. The road to Nghinh Phong Cape is quite easy to find; just drive along Thuy Van Street, and you'll get there.
Located beneath Nghinh Phong Cape, the Gateway to Heaven is a virtual world with long staircases. The statue of Christ is where you can admire the panoramic view of Vung Tau. However, I skipped this spot because I was wearing stiff-soled shoes and couldn't climb. Alley 107-109, Tran Phu, is a place with a beautiful scenery reminiscent of legendary Korea. I visited Bai Truoc Park in the late afternoon, and the sunset here is absolutely stunning.
In addition to the aforementioned places, Vung Tau tourism also offers many check-in spots such as Bach Dinh, Pig Hill, White Rabbit Park, and more. Due to time constraints, I had to conclude the trip early and return to Ho Chi Minh City. I hope to have the opportunity to return to Vung Tau tourism to explore other destinations and savor the local cuisine.
