According to legend, this water pond has existed since the ancient village of Kadeula, closely tied to the story of a missionary who chose this place to gather the villagers. Over time, the pond became the soul of the village and also the main water source for the local community in Kadeula. In 2010, Telaga Biru Cicerem was officially opened for tourism and became the most popular destination in Kuningan.
The lake boasts a depth of about 5 meters, surrounded by lush green forests and picturesque rocky shores. The heart of the lake is home to various fish species, prominently the mesmerizing Koi fish with their striking orange and red hues. Despite hosting numerous fish, the lake has never been murky or had a fishy odor. On the contrary, its water remains crystal clear throughout the year, allowing visitors near the shore to even see the bottom clearly.
Activities within the tourist area
While fishing is prohibited in this fish lake, visitors are allowed to feed the fish along the shore. Most people find joy in watching the playful schools of fish swimming around. Many visitors even express that they feel greatly uplifted spiritually by feeding the fish in such a serene blue water lake.

Ticket prices and directions to Situ Cicerem
Despite its rugged appearance, the road to the lake is quite easy. From the center of Kuningan, you only need to travel about 2.4km towards Mount Ceremai to reach Telaga Biru Cicerem lake.
Entrance tickets range from 5,000 IDR to 10,000 IDR (approximately 8,000-16,000 VND), depending on the type of vehicle you use to enter the tourist area and excluding parking fees. The lake tour is managed by local residents. Here, you'll find all necessary facilities including eateries and restrooms for a comfortable day of exploration.
