What Does Dak Tuar Stone Cave Offer?
Located in the Chư Yang Sin mountain range, the Dak Tuar Stone Cave system consists of multiple layers and hidden spaces deep within the mountains, capable of accommodating hundreds of military units. Throughout the years of resistance against the US, this was the headquarters of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and the main military units of the province.
Due to its treacherous terrain, our Provincial Party Committee and resistance agencies chose this location as the main revolutionary base. From here, the leadership rallied the people of various ethnic groups for united resistance. Despite numerous American bombing raids and sweep operations aimed at destroying our revolutionary base, all of their attempts failed.
In 1965, from Dak Tuar Stone Cave, the people of Krông Bông district rose up to fight and break free from the enemy's grip, liberating a large area of land in the district. Subsequently, it was here that the entire province's resistance forces completely liberated Buon Me Thuot in 1975.
