300475 has unveiled its Teaser Trailer.
Debuting in early May, 300475 is a historical-themed game, reenacting the legendary Ho Chi Minh campaign developed by Hiker Games (the creators of the purely Vietnamese game 7554). According to Hiker Games, this game will portray the arduous and heroic struggles of the Vietnamese People's Army during the Vietnam War, including the liberation of the South to reunify the country.
Unlike previous projects, 300475 will be crowdfunded in three development stages, spanning approximately 30 months. Hiker Games is calling for funding from the Vietnamese gaming community, those who love the local gaming industry, as well as those passionate about Vietnamese history in general and 7554 in particular (specifically around 20 billion VND). The studio aims to develop and complete the game 300475 before April 30, 2025, the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the country.
After more than 9 months of project announcement, overcoming numerous economic and developmental challenges, today, Hiker Game Studio officially introduces the first teaser of the game 300475. The first teaser of 300475 showcases beautiful graphics built on advanced Unreal Engine 4 technology, depicting a realistic environment during the Vietnam War.
We can observe the Southern Liberation Army organizing a major attack against the US imperial forces. Despite the US being equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry, including tanks, the Southern Liberation Army employs guerrilla tactics, valiantly fighting to eliminate the US imperial forces. In 300475, players will take on the role of Southern Liberation Army soldiers, wielding AK-47 rifles and battling against foreign invaders, echoing the bravery of our forefathers.
Hiker Games shares that they hope this serves as a meaningful morale boost for gamers who have always followed and supported the project. They emphasize Hiker's utmost seriousness and complete capability to fulfill the project.
'We understand the significance of this teaser video to the success of community fundraising. That's why the studio has exerted maximum effort and seriousness. Certainly, with limited time and resources, this video will have constraints. But we believe it has the power to prove the feasibility of the project to those who still have doubts,' says the studio.
After more than 9 months of community fundraising, the project has garnered support totaling 871 million VND, still a considerable distance from the set goal. Nonetheless, Hiker Games remains optimistic about the project achieving its set target.
'From the outset, we understood that this is by no means an easy feat. However, we want to push our capabilities to the limit. Even if the project cannot secure funding successfully, we harbor no regrets. As long as there's a 1/1000 chance of success, it's worth the attempt. We've also accumulated numerous valuable lessons and knowledge during this phase. It's a success for the studio,' shares the team.
