1. Customize Notification Sounds
According to a blog post shared by Telegram, the first feature in the second update of this spring is customizable notification sounds. Users can now create custom notification sounds from music tracks and even memes.
To set up custom notification sounds, simply long-press a short audio file or voice message in any chat to display the option Save for Notifications and add it to the list of available notification sounds. You can then set it as the notification sound for any chat by accessing Settings =>Notifications and Sounds. Telegram currently supports audio files and voice messages under 5 seconds and a maximum size of 300KB.
2. Customize Mute Duration
In addition to the latest update, Telegram has added support for custom mute durations. This means that users can now hide conversations temporarily for specific periods of time, such as 1 hour, 1 day, 3 days, 4 days, or 1 week, ... instead of just 1 hour, 8 hours, or 2 days as before.
To do this, you simply tap on Notifications on the chat info page or access Menu =>Mute on the chat header on Android, or tap on Mute on the chat info page on the iOS app.
3. Addition of Auto-Delete Feature
Regarding the new Auto-Delete menu in the Telegram profile, this feature allows users to set flexible timers to automatically delete a conversation, ranging from 1 day to 1 year. After setting the auto-delete timer, all content including messages, photos, videos, and documents will be automatically deleted after the set time period.
4. Reply to Forwarded Messages
Support for replying to forwarded messages is another notable feature added in the latest Telegram update. Now when users forward a message, which is a reply to a previous message in a group chat or private conversation, a preview of the original message will be displayed alongside the current message for better context.
Telegram has significantly enhanced its Bot development tools, enabling developers to replace entire websites with advanced Telegram Bots. After this update, Bot developers will be able to create 'infinitely flexible interfaces with Javascript' for Bots.
