Google introduced this feature quite some time ago, allowing users to hum any tune to accurately find the corresponding song on various music platforms. It's perfect for situations where we've all found ourselves accidentally stumbling upon a catchy melody but unable to recall the lyrics or the title. Hum to Search is the solution to that problem.Google's virtual assistant quickly and accurately retrieves results after listening to the melody hummed by the user. Throughout the experience, even without musical instrument support, maintaining the right pitch, rhythm, tone, and intensity, Hum to Search still delivers fast and highly accurate results. I find Google has done an excellent job with this tool. How to Use?
In the Google search bar, you'll find a microphone icon. Simply tap on it and say, “Hey Google, What's this song?” or tap on the “Search a song” button, then just hum the tune.
With its vast data sources, Google can find song results with an accuracy rate of about 90% after several attempts. The remaining 10% may be due to inaccuracies in the user's humming, which Google's AI assistant may not recognize. Additionally, for Vietnamese songs, if you only hum “Hum..hm,” you may not get accurate results.
For Vietnamese music, simply singing the lyrics and melody will yield accurate results, even for trending songs. Its advantages extend to situations such as:

- If you're listening to music somewhere without access to an audio playback device for Shazam or Siri to identify, you can still find the song just by recalling the melody.
- If you remember the lyrics and melody but only need to hum “Hmm,” you can still get results without typing the lyrics into the search bar.
- You can check if your singing and humming are in the correct tone and melody by comparing the match percentage with Google's results.
