Leaving Diep Son Island, I'm overwhelmed with nostalgia, longing to return immediately to camp overnight and fully immerse myself in its enchanting allure. It's a place like no other.
Embark on an unforgettable journey to Diep Son Island, the ultimate seaside haven to explore this summer!
Here's a detailed account of my extraordinary escapade in this 'heavenly' destination, shared by Tân Nhật. Take a glimpse and get inspired.

Part of the magic is experiencing Diep Son Island during the summer – undoubtedly the best time of the year. Quick observation: Calling it a 'heavenly paradise' is no exaggeration!
* The experiences on Diep Son Island include:
- Witness the clear white sand path amidst calm, azure waters.
- No need to worry, as even at high tide, the water only reaches ankle-deep, ensuring a gentle sea breeze without the fear of being swept away.
- Walking amidst the vast ocean, define your own experience as you observe the swimming fish.
- Traverse the very path that spans across 3 islands.
- On the third island, as the tide recedes, the path splits into two beaches. These twin beaches offer one side with warm water and the other with cold water. The mystery lies right there!

* The Unintentional Tour Guide:
- Traveling from Nha Trang: Head to Van Gia Port, approximately 60km from Nha Trang towards Phu Yen province.
- As for me: From Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen province to Van Gia Port, heading towards Nha Trang, it's about 70km, passing through Ca Pass. This coastal route is incredibly scenic, passing by Vung Ro Bay and Dai Lanh Beach.
- Upon reaching Van Gia Port, call Mr. Tu Nghia at 0166 7982 151. Sometimes, Mr. Luan might answer the phone. They will arrange a speedboat to take you to Diep Son Island. It's advisable to call a day or two in advance.
- Round-trip tickets cost 200,000 VND per person. During holidays, speedboats operate frequently and continuously.
- On weekdays, if you're not camping overnight and plan to return the same day, it's recommended to catch the 8-9 AM trip. Return trips are available at 1 PM, 2 PM, and 4 PM.
- The speedboat ride takes exactly 20 minutes.

* Additional important information regarding tide calculation (ebb tide) – Whether Diep Son is beautiful or not depends partly on this:
- From the 1st to the 15th of the lunar month: Ebb tide in the afternoon.
- From the 15th to the end of the lunar month: Ebb tide in the morning.

* If all goes as planned, I'll return to Diep Son on the nearest day.
I'll camp overnight. I'll catch an evening bus from Saigon to Phu Yen, instruct the driver to drop me off at Van Gia port, then take a motorbike taxi to the port, just about 2km away. From there, I'll wait for the speedboat to the island. Oh! I heard they only provide electricity on the island from 6 PM to 9 PM, so after 9 PM, you'll have to make do with your own means.
- On the island, they also sell miscellaneous food items, and seafood is particularly delightful. Beverages like coconut water or green tea cost only 10,000 VND.

* Total Expenses Breakdown:
- Saigon to Van Gia Bus: 400,000 VND per round trip per person.
- Speedboat to Diep Son Island: 200,000 VND per round trip per person.
- Small Tent: 100,000 VND per night for 2 people.
- Incidental Expenses: Up to you to consider!
