So the first half of 2021 has come to an end with not many notable tech events or products, such as: LG officially exiting the Mobile division, the rise of Xiaomi both domestically and internationally, and in Vietnam, the farewell to VinSmart.
Welcoming the rest of 2021 with greater brilliance, today let's review notable technology products and events launched both internationally and in Vietnam in this July.
Huawei returns with HarmonyOS, gearing up for the P50 and Mate 50 series
Kicking off July with a bang is Huawei's APAC Summer Product 2021 event on July 6. It's highly likely that the company will introduce HarmonyOS - the response to the previous Trump administration's ban on Huawei.

Before this, HarmonyOS was introduced domestically, and almost everyone interested in technology already has a basic understanding of this operating system. Currently, both professionals and users are eagerly awaiting to see how it performs on the new smartphones.
Recently, there have been many rumors and leaks about Huawei's upcoming flagship devices, but they still remain quite vague. Besides design and features, the configuration is one of the questions users are asking Huawei about.

Will the company launch products amidst ongoing bans, and can they sustain both the P and Mate flagship lines as before, or will it be just the Huawei P50? Let's wait and see together!
OPPO Reno6 series goes global, continuing its success in Vietnam?
In fact, OPPO had previously unveiled the Reno6 series in its home country of China. You can revisit information about the devices here!

Specifically, the new OPPO Reno6 will feature changes in its external design, notably with a more premium square-edged metal frame. There's also a significant change in the configuration this year as the company opts for MediaTek Dimensity instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon as before.
It's unclear on which day OPPO will start selling the Reno6 series in other regions as well as in our country. However, it's likely to be soon as previous information all points towards this happening in July.

With tremendous success in the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian markets with the OPPO Reno5, we hope OPPO will bring this new Reno model to our country with a good price and even more accessibility.
ZTE Axon 30 - a smartphone with a second-generation hidden camera is also very noteworthy
Previously, with the somewhat anticipated failure of the ZTE Axon 20, users assumed that ZTE would abandon smartphones with hidden cameras. However, according to company representatives, they will still continue to release the successor ZTE Axon 30 with a second-generation hidden camera.

Alongside recent information about Chinese companies starting mass production of panels with this technology, starting with Visionox and Huaxing OptoElectronics. Perhaps this is the motivation for Chinese companies to continue this technology.

With the experience advantage from the Axon 20, we hope ZTE will further refine this technology in the next generation. Currently, VinSmart has exited the technology race, and it's unknown which company will be next to compete with the ZTE Axon 30 set to debut on July 22?
Sony brings the Xperia 1 III, 5 III, and 10 III smartphones to Vietnam
LG and Sony were once at risk of exiting the smartphone game, with Sony seemingly still holding on to this market with its Sony Xperia 1 III, 5 III, and 10 III models. Meanwhile, LG has sadly announced significant losses.

Compared to LG, Sony may be more conservative, slower to change, and less innovative, but precisely at that point, being overly innovative, changing too much but not very practically, has led LG to halt earlier than Sony.
It can be said that commercially, Sony smartphones have no chance of winning against the names currently present in the market. However, the company still has a loyal user base, a niche segment to target, experiences that are hard to replace.

Recently, with the appearance of many images, information, and shares about Sony devices in Vietnam shared by tech KOLs. Who knows, this might be a sign of Sony returning to our market? Let's wait and see together!
Here's my roundup of notable products and events in July.
