The Faraway Tunnel is an abandoned railway line built by the French in 1908. Originally stretching up to 84km, connecting Da Lat and Thap Cham - Ninh Thuan. Over time, only a section of the tunnel remains here. Covered in moss, the tunnel exudes the essence of an ancient structure. This is why the Faraway Tunnel attracts visitors to come and explore.
To reach this Faraway Tunnel from the center of Da Lat, head towards Trại Mát (Fresh Farm). Just pay a little attention and you'll see a signboard directing you to the 'Faraway Tunnel'. Nearby is a small café where you can park your vehicle and enjoy a cup of coffee. Walk about 50m from there and you'll gradually see the tunnel emerging behind the dense foliage.
The Faraway Tunnel has two ends. For high-quality photos, it's advisable to go through to the other end where the scenery is much more beautiful. However, the tunnel is quite dark and slightly slippery, so be cautious while moving around, and it's recommended to go with a group of friends for reassurance.
