If nudity in America is mostly for adults and predominantly for men, then in the city of Cap D’Agde (part of the town of Adge, France), 99% of the population opts to... go nude. You can comfortably bare it all, naturally, anywhere you please: dining out, grocery shopping, even to the bank or police station...

99% opt for nudity
Situated on the southwest side of France, the city of Cap D’Agde (part of the town of Adge) is just about 5 km away from Montpellier International Airport and the Agde train station. Moreover, there are numerous direct flights connecting Paris, Copenhagen to the nearest airport to Adge town, Béziers-Cap d’Agde, which is approximately 15 km away from the town center... Currently, Cap D’Agde has a population of 40,000 people.
Similar to any upscale beach resort, Cap D’Adge resort also boasts a wide beach, abundant sunlight, blue sea with long stretches of flat sandy beaches, and various fun sports activities (such as volleyball, surfing, or sandcastle competitions), along with a chain of shops, restaurants with extensive and diverse offerings. The unique and truly distinctive aspect is in Cap D’Agde, where 99% of the people choose to... go nude. The remaining 1% wearing clothes are some young athletes and teenagers. Because the percentage is so small, those who wear clothes feel out of place, becoming 'rare breeds' here.
What's even more special is that this is an ideal destination for newlyweds to enjoy a sweet honeymoon or for couples who enjoy the sensation... of love in public. Couples can comfortably indulge in the emotions of love, build sandcastles... amidst the vast expanse of the sky and sea.
As night falls, Cap D’Agde comes alive with lively concerts, disco dances, and vibrant festivals. Around 8 p.m., the cool sea breeze prompts many to don clothing, but they often opt for scanty outfits, quite alluring.

Irresistible Allure
With the motto 'See and be seen' and a principle of courteous behavior, Cap D’Agde has created its brand - a 30m wide, 2km long nude beach along the Mediterranean coast. Upon entering the nude area in the town of Agde, regardless of who you are (local or tourist), everyone must adhere to two strict rules: no clothing allowed, must be completely nude, and filming or photography is prohibited. Prostitution is strictly prohibited here in any form and is closely monitored by security personnel.
Along the beach/resort area, there is always a security team on duty reminding adults to be nude, if they... forget. The rule is no clothing, however, as a courtesy, you should carry your own towel. Leave it on your seat in the restaurant or anywhere convenient for hygiene purposes for yourself and for the person sitting next.
Standing in line at the ATM - next to Place de la Marine square, but those withdrawing money are completely nude. They are comfortable, not a bit shy, calmly waiting for their turn. At clothing stores, people try on clothes, make purchases, and casually walk out bare. At the post office, gas station, restaurants, swimming pools, nightclubs, plastic surgery centers, even at the police station... everyone is stark naked. Innocent girls pose cheerfully on the street, happily chatting. Nothing is unusual. No embarrassment or shame, even if your skin is marked with stretch marks, wrinkles, sagging breasts, or whatever size 'it' may be...
The Only Nude City in the World
According to historical records, Cap D’Agde was established in the 1970s. Prior to that, the land adjacent to Cap D‘Agde beach had been owned by the Oltra family for many years. After World War II, the Oltra brothers noticed an increasing number of people camping on their land, most of whom enjoyed nude sunbathing and swimming. Subsequently, the Oltra brothers began establishing a mobile camping site for tourists to rent. The concept of beach resort camping became increasingly popular, especially attracting young families from Germany and the Netherlands. In the 1970s, the Georges Pompidou government planned the development of the Languedoc-Roussillon coastline. Initially, Cap D‘Agde was not included in these proposals, but Rene Oltra persuaded the authorities to plan for a nudist resort in Cap D‘Agde. In 1973, the nude beach at Cap D‘Agde officially opened.
In this city, there are four types of housing: apartment complexes, suburban villas, a camping area, and only one hotel named Hotel Eve. The camping area in Cap D’Agde alone has 2,500 small plots of land where you can pitch your tent or rent mobile homes to enjoy a 'nude' vacation right in the city. Here, those interested can rent rooms by the month for prices ranging from $2,000 to $2,500. In addition to owning a relaxing space, you can enjoy many excellent services. The staff here also appear amusingly nude and mostly speak English. This place has been ranked first in the list of most popular resorts in France, attracting about 50,000 visitors each summer. The allure of the 'Nude City of Cap D’Agde' makes most who have visited want to return multiple times.
