Step 2: Navigate to Account Settings > select Restore Contacts.

Apart from restoring contacts via SIM or iCloud, you can also try restoring lost contacts or deleted phone numbers using iTunes as follows:

Step 1: Access iCloud.com on a web browser using another iPad or iPhone and log in to your personal iCloud account.

Step 2: Navigate to Account Settings > select Restore Contacts.

Step 3: Choose the desired time frame to restore phone numbers > click Restore > click OK to complete the process.

3. Use iTunes to retrieve deleted phone numbers on iPhone

Step 1: Connect your iPhone to the computer and log in to your iTunes account.

Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone > select Contacts.

Step 2: Choose Add Account > then select Other > further choose Add CardDAV Account.

Step 3: Enter your Gmail account information and password > tap Next to sync your contacts.
