When in Ha Tien (Kien Giang), don't miss the chance to visit Binh San Mountain to fully appreciate the tranquil scenery here, especially pausing to visit the tomb of Mac Cuu, which bears the deep cultural and historical significance of Ha Tien land.
Experience the peaceful and lush beauty of Binh San Mountain in Ha Tien.
Binh San Mountain is located within the urban area of Ha Tien city. Standing approximately 50 meters tall, it is also known as Lang Mountain due to the presence of Mac Cuu's tomb and the graves of his relatives and generals, individuals who played a significant role in opening up the Ha Tien region.

On Binh San Mountain lies a grove of white apricot trees, also known as blind apricot trees. This grove was cultivated from the first apricot tree brought by Mac Cuu from Guangxi and planted here in 1720. During the Tet Nguyen Tieu festival, the white apricot blossoms bloom with four spreading petals, forming clusters of pure white with golden stamens, emitting a delightful fragrance, and spreading their pristine beauty and fragrance throughout the mountainous area.

At the mountain peak, there are still remnants of the Son Xuyen and Xa Tac cultures, characterized by large red-colored bat-shaped patterns with a black center and a golden core, with a large bronze incense burner placed in the middle. In ancient times, various ceremonies were held here to worship the mountain and river gods, as well as the soldiers who fell for the nation. The Son Xuyen culture is situated on the highest peak, overlooking Phao Dai Mountain, serving as a place of worship for the mountain and river gods. The Xa Tac culture is located halfway up the mountain, serving as a place of worship for the land and agricultural deities.

The summit of Binh San Mountain is considered the most strategic location in the Ha Tien region, where ancient Mac ancestors often performed rituals to pray for favorable weather. From the summit, there are paths leading to other tourist spots in the area such as Phu Dung Pagoda, then tourists can move on to Phat Da Pagoda, also known as Brick Kiln Pagoda, for exploration.

Binh San Mountain houses the historical site of Mac Cuu's tomb, and the Mac family shrine area is always serene, exuding a solemn atmosphere. Within the historical site, there are many architectural features documenting the contributions of the Mac lineage. After visiting the shrine, visitors can follow the path on the right to the tomb area on Binh San Mountain. The path is gently sloped with green stone steps, flanked by carefully tended greenery, creating a spacious and lush environment year-round. Along the path, there are stone benches for visitors to rest.
