Our next destination was Hanbat Botanical Garden. Amidst forests of maple, pine, and cherry blossom trees are lush green lawns, colorful flower gardens, various fruit trees, and vegetable plots from all over the world.
With an exciting excursion to Daejeon Lake, we witnessed the breathtaking scenery of the third largest artificial lake in South Korea. The azure lake lies amidst majestic twin peaks. The crystal-clear water, rippling gently, reflects the blue sky and white clouds. With picturesque scenery, Daejeon Lake is considered one of the most beautiful spots in Daejeon.
On the weekend, we hiked up Gyejok Mountain, one of Daejeon's most famous peaks. Leisurely strolling along the red dirt path, admiring the lush green pine trees surrounding the mountain, and climbing to the summit of the ancient Gyejoksanseong fortress, we gazed out over the center of Daejeon city. These are the wonderful experiences that you'll enjoy when you visit this place.
