Infestation: Origins
Nightmare Forge Games has just announced Infestation: Origins, a co-op survival horror game (supporting 1-4 players) set in 1988. The game allows you to play as various iconic characters, including Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney's eternal symbol. It's set to be released later this year on Steam as an early access title.

Notably, the game underwent a name change shortly after its announcement. As shared on Nightmare Forge Games' Twitter/X account, the original title—Infestation 88—has been changed to Infestation: Origins. According to the developers, the '88' in the title is because the game 'takes place in the 1980s, with 1988 chosen simply for its symmetrical design in the game's art/logo.'
Alone in the Dark
Serving as the inspiration for iconic horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, Alone in the Dark can be considered a monument and pioneer for the survival horror genre. Over 30 years since its initial release on the MS-DOS platform, this legendary game has finally been resurrected by the publisher THQ Nordic.

Notably, 'Alone in the Dark' was originally released in 1992 for MS-DOS, later ported to various platforms such as 3DO, Mac OS, and PlayStation. In 'Alone in the Dark,' players take control of one of two characters, Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood, in a mysterious mansion in Louisiana in 1920. Players must explore the house, solve puzzles, and confront supernatural creatures to uncover the secrets of the mansion.
