Gia Bac Pass: Da Lat – Phan Thiet
Located on National Highway 28 connecting the two tourist cities of Da Lat and Phan Thiet, Gia Bac Pass features breathtaking yet rugged landscapes. The pass's summit is often shrouded in mist on early mornings or cloudy days, resembling Sapa. At the pass's peak lies Gia Bac commune with its quaint hamlets inhabited by the K'Ho people living in small houses along the roadside.



With an elevation of around 800m above sea level, Gia Bac Pass presents challenges with over ten kilometers of continuous winding roads, successive hairpin turns, and steep cliffs. Despite the narrow, winding paths, it is relatively safe due to sparse traffic. The allure of Gia Bac Pass lies not only in its perilous twists and turns but also in its pristine, almost untouched natural surroundings. The solitary path meanders through dense forests, sometimes wedged between towering mountain walls, while other times unveiling majestic vistas of rugged mountains and deep ravines.
The Majestic Dai Ninh Pass (Lo Xo Pass): Da Lat – Phan Ri
If you're traveling from National Route 20 towards the dreamy highland city of Da Lat, then take a right turn at the Tà Hin junction. From here, a little further down this road will lead you to the opportunity to challenge one of the most treacherous and adventurous mountain passes, Dai Ninh Pass. Moreover, on your journey through Dai Ninh Pass, you'll also get to admire the gentle and romantic beauty of Dai Ninh hydroelectric reservoir.



During the conquest of Dai Ninh Pass, you'll encounter rugged, winding roads, and some daring hairpin turns. In the early morning sun, the majestic beauty of this place resembles the high mountainous regions of Northwest Vietnam, leaving many in awe and amazement. Along this stretch of road, you'll have the chance to fully indulge in the natural beauty, enraptured by the picturesque landscapes of rolling hills and the vast blue sea of Phan Ri.
The Serpentine Ngan Muc Pass (Song Pha Pass): Da Lat – Phan Rang
As one of the grandest and most beautiful mountain passes in Vietnam, Ngan Muc Pass stretches 18.5 km with an average gradient of over 9 degrees. An Khe Pass is a mountain pass along the route from Quy Nhon to Pleiku. It's the longest and most perilous pass on Highway 19, traversing Tây Sơn district and An Khe town. Spanning 8 kilometers, despite later expansions, An Khe Pass retains its treacherous twists and turns, such as the notorious Cây Khế Bend, Ðồng Tiến Turn, and Hang Dơi Curve.



Vi O Lac Pass: Mang Den – Quang Ngai
Compared to other mountain passes in Quang Ngai province, Deo Vi O Lac stands out with its considerable length and height, featuring numerous winding curves. Situated on National Highway 24, it serves as one of the main routes connecting the Central Highlands with the coastal provinces of South Central Vietnam. This pass, once dense and wild, was adorned with abundant acacia trees.



From the summit of the pass, one can overlook the land below. Surrounding in all directions are successive mountain ranges, creating a rugged terrain with no end in sight. Far in the distance at the foot of the mountains lie terraced fields cultivated by ethnic minority communities.
