Steps to install Euro Truck Simulator game
Step 1: You can download the game here:
The game installer is quite hefty, weighing in at 3.1 GB, so it may take some time to download.
Gaming is straightforward - take the wheel and navigate your truck to deliver goods everywhere.
Step 1: Upon entering the game, the first task is to create a Profile for your character. Customize your language preference below. The game supports Vietnamese.
Step 2: Profile setup. After switching the language to Vietnamese, everything becomes simpler, right?
- Name: Set your name
- Next to it is gender selection, default is Male
- Image: choose your avatar
- Customize to your liking: Pick an avatar for your truck
- Icon: choose an icon for your company
- Company Name: Name your company
- Language: select Vietnamese for easy play
- Playstyle Faction: By default, no need to select
Once all settings are configured, press Create to create this Profile
Step 3: Choose your control method. If you have a gamepad or a gaming wheel connected to your computer, you can select the third method. Otherwise, opt for keyboard control, which is the simplest method.
Step 4: Choose the Fully Automatic gearbox type for easy control
Step 5: Click on Finish Wizard to complete
Step 6: Loading Interface
Step 7: Click Agree to proceed with selecting the city as the starting point for your business venture
Step 8: After selecting the city, click Confirm Selection to verify your choice
Step 9: You can view instructions or skip them by clicking Yes
Step 10: Click the Continue (Enter) button to skip the storyline part.
Step 11: Now you are ready to play the game. Pay attention to the instructions at the bottom left corner. They will be very helpful for you.
Some additional tips for gaming
1. Basic reversing technique
- Avoid rushing because when you rush, you tend to press the accelerator harder, which leads to more wheel spins. Reverse slowly, without worrying about how many attempts it takes. With practice, you'll get better and find it easier to reverse.
2. Adjusting Free Camera
- Navigate to the folder DocumentsEuro Truck Simulator
Locate the file config.cfg and open it with Notepad
Then, search for the following line by pressing Ctrl+F and begin searching

- After that, save and enter the game, press the 0 key to switch to free camera mode, use the number keys: 8, 9, 4, 5, 6, 3 on the keypad to navigate. For laptops without an extended keypad, use the Numlock keys with Fn to access these functionalities.
3. Resetting Jobs when encountering jobless issues
- Navigate to Documents (My Documents) ->Euro Truck Simulator 2
- Find the config.cfg file, right-click and open with Notepad. Scroll down to find the line uset g_developer '0'. If not visible, use Ctrl + F and search for 'develop'. Change the value '0' to '1'. The line should now read uset g_developer '1'
- Similarly, locate the line uset g_console '0' and change the value '0' to '1', then save.
- Exit the file and launch the game, you can play either Online or Offline.
- Log into your profile. You will still notice no available jobs.
No jobs even in Berlin.
- Press the key and enter the command g_force_economy_reset 1, then press Enter and to exit.
Still no jobs. Exit to the Home interface, click back into your profile, and reload it. Now the game will prompt you, simply cancel it.
- Now drive your truck back to the garage, where you initially started working. You'll find plenty of jobs available in Berlin now. You can freely choose one.
After resetting, you need to cancel the executed command by entering: g_force_economy_reset 0
