The werewolf game features numerous characters, but here are some of the most famous and familiar ones:
- The commoners' side: Their mission is to accurately identify the lurking wolves. This faction includes the following characters:
- Villager: Sleeps at night, wakes up during the day, and collaborates to uncover the wolves.
- Seer: Guesses who the wolf is by pointing at that person. If the game master nods, it's a correct guess; if the game master shakes their head, it's incorrect. During the day, the seer must persuade and assist the villagers in finding the wolves without revealing their seer status.
- Guardian: Rescues any player, but cannot rescue the same person consecutively.
- Hunter: Has the right to shoot any player starting from the second night onwards. If the wolves kill the hunter, the player the hunter designates also dies automatically.
- Witch: Possesses two potions, one for killing and one for saving. Throughout the game, the witch can use one potion per turn and use both potions per night. When the game master wakes up the witch at night, they inform the witch of who the wolves killed, and the witch decides whether to save that person. If the witch uses the healing potion, the person survives. After that, the game master asks the witch if they want to use the killing potion to eliminate someone.

Thus, the village chief has 2 lives when bitten by wolves. Everyone votes on who the village chief is. The elder's vote counts as 2 instead of 1 like other characters. When the village chief dies, the player has the right to transfer the character to any other player. Importantly, all special roles lose their functions (except the hunter) when the village chief dies.
- Cupid:
Has the right to choose 2 people and pair them as lovers. These two are awakened by the game master to reveal their roles. If one person dies, the other will die as well. Lovers cannot vote to hang each other. If they belong to opposing factions, their mission changes: kill the remaining players except themselves.
- Little Girl: From the second night, the little girl can peek to see who the wolves are. If discovered by the wolves, the little girl must die instead of the original victim killed.
- Thief: On the first night when the thief wakes up, that player has the right to choose and look at one of the two additional function cards added by the game master as their second function. The thief has the right to use this ability until the end of the game. If one of those two cards is a wolf, the thief continues to steal until the end of the game.

- Regular Wolf: Must kill one villager, kill each other, or not kill anyone
- Wolf Cub: If the wolf cub dies, the next night, the regular wolf gets to kill two consecutive people.
