Every time my friends and I travel to Da Nang, we must visit Hoi An once for pleasure because these two places are only 30km apart. I've traveled along the coastal road where there are magnificent high-end resorts on both sides. Moreover, Hoi An Ancient Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that I proudly introduce to any foreign friend when talking about Vietnam.
Unlike Hanoi's Old Quarter, in Hoi An, the ancient features of hundred-year-old houses are still well-preserved over time, despite various changes... The city is dubbed the Venice of Asia, a comparison that captures its unique beauty. Personally, I see Hoi An as Hoi An, with a distinctly Eastern charm.
Included in the list of 50 must-visit destinations in a lifetime and one of the liveliest cities at night. It's where you find the best banh mi in the world, the hearty cao lau dish with the authentic flavor of Hoi An. Rows of streets with old yellow and green walls. Tiny mossy alleyways. 4. Linh Ung Pagoda, Da Nang
Linh Ung Pagoda is a renowned spiritual site in Da Nang, home to the towering statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara facing the sea. Its location is stunning, nestled against the mountains with a sea-facing front, visitors come here wholeheartedly praying for the health of their loved ones.
Local residents of Da Nang say that since the construction of this temple and the statue of Buddha, the number of storms hitting the area has significantly decreased. Storms that approach suddenly change direction upon nearing this sacred temple.
This temple also boasts a stunning landscape, serving as a must-visit spot for both domestic and international tourists whenever they come by.
5. Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang
During the summer, Son Tra Peninsula beneath the city's sun is scorching, but as you ascend towards the summit, it becomes pleasantly cool with mist. From the chessboard peak, you'll witness a magnificent panorama of the city. You'll see the beautiful bridges spanning over the rivers.
