Co To Con Island

In 1962, when President Ho Chi Minh visited the Northeast region, the Provincial Administrative Committee of Hai Ninh requested permission to erect a statue on Co To Island, build a memorial house, and erect plaques at the places he visited, which was approved. This is the only place where Ho Chi Minh agreed to erect a statue while still alive.
Developing Co To into a high-end eco-tourism sea and island area
According to the tourism development orientation of the district until 2025, Co To is identified for development into a high-end eco-tourism sea and island area with diverse forms of tourism, sports, and entertainment both at sea and on islands.

Currently, Co To district is focusing on attracting investment in building and supplementing accommodation facilities from 3-4 stars, alongside developing homestays run by households engaged in community tourism. As of now, Co To has over 226 accommodation establishments with over 2,800 rooms, 35 dining establishments, and 32 entertainment venues.
