Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates two main cabins: the business class cabin and the economy class cabin. Business class passengers will be arranged in seats at the front of the aircraft with a dedicated area. For the economy class cabin, passengers with flexible and standard economy tickets will be given priority for seats in the upper section, while those with economy saver and super saver tickets will be allocated seats in the lower section.

A321 Aircraft:
- Zone 2: Rows 14-25.
- Zone 3: Rows 26-34.
- Zone 4: Rows 35-38.
- Zone 2: Rows 18-24.

- Eco1 Group: Flexible Economy Class (Y/B/M).
- Eco2 Group: Standard Economy Class (S/H/K/L).

Applicable Routes: The pre-purchase seat service is applicable on domestic and international flights operated by Vietnam Airlines.
- Available for purchase after ticket issuance and up to 24 hours before departure.
- The selected seat must be paid for within 1 hour of selection, or the system will cancel the chosen seat.
Types of Seats:
- Spacious Legroom Seats: Seats in the emergency exit row (not for sale and can only be selected during airport check-in for safety reasons).
- Upper Deck Seats (Aisle/Middle/Window): Seats in the upper deck area of the aircraft.
- Standard Seats (Aisle/Middle/Window): Seats in the lower deck area of the aircraft.
Applicable Passengers:
Passengers eligible for free or paid seat selection, depending on the ticket class and Golden Lotus Plus membership, are as follows:
- Business class and premium economy: Free seat selection.
- Economy class: Follow the table below for applicable fees.
- Adult passengers traveling with infants (under 2 years old) are not eligible for the pre-seat selection service on the flight.
- If a passenger has already purchased a seat in advance, the seat will be retained when checking in online.
In the case of:
- The airline changes the aircraft, flight time, or flight number.
- Passengers voluntarily change their tickets.
Within approximately 24 hours, passengers can reselect an equivalent seat to the one purchased and submit it for the airline to arrange.
3. Purchase Seats at the Airport (within 24 hours)
According to the airline's regulations, passengers are not allowed to purchase seats at the airport (within 24 hours before departure). The airline staff will allocate seats based on ticket class and Golden Lotus Plus membership (if applicable) to available vacant seats.
Passengers purchasing Super Saver Economy Class tickets (A/P/G) will be allocated to non-priority seat positions as follows:
– Standard Seats:
+ A350/ B787 Aircraft: Seats from the rear of the aircraft to the end of row 30.
+ A321 Aircraft: Seats from the rear of the aircraft to the end of row 29.
– Middle seats for the next 5 rows above standard seats (excluding emergency exit row seats).
– In case of a full flight, passengers with Super Saver Economy Class tickets will be arranged following the principle of filling seats from the rear of the aircraft upwards.
– Not applicable to passengers with Golden Lotus Plus Platinum/Gold/Titan cards purchasing Super Saver Economy Class tickets. In the case of Golden Lotus Plus members with Super Saver Economy Class tickets being assigned to non-priority seats, the staff will make seat changes for them.
4. Seat Selection within 24 Hours
As per the airline's regulations, within a 24-hour window, the airline will open seats from Zone 2 downwards (excluding emergency exit seats). Depending on the remaining seat availability, passengers of each ticket class and Golden Lotus Plus membership (if applicable) can freely choose from the following areas:
- Economy Saver and Super Saver Class: Free seat selection in Zone 4.
- Standard Economy Class: Free seat selection in Zones 3 and 4.
