The iOS 12.1.1 update brings a host of new features and bug fixes. Notably, it introduces the ability to capture Live Photos during FaceTime calls, allowing users to preserve memorable moments.
To capture Live Photos during FaceTime calls, the person initiating the video chat needs to enable FaceTime Live Photos in Settings => FaceTime => FaceTime Live Photos. If this setting is disabled, users on the other end of the call won't be able to capture Live Photos.

Additionally, FaceTime has undergone a redesign with a bottom-corner menu featuring quick access buttons to mute calls and switch between front and rear cameras. Slide the bottom menu to reveal additional options for chat participants.
eSIM support for the latest iPhone models, including iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, has expanded to more mobile networks in Europe in the iOS 12.1.1 update. This includes Swisscom in Switzerland, Orange in Spain, and Three in Sweden and Denmark. It's unclear whether Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile have added eSIM support yet.
