Erin Hunter, the author of the Warriors series, is not a single individual. “She” is actually a collaborative effort involving Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Victoria Holmes, Dan Jolley, and Tui T. Sutherland.
By 2024, there are 8 Warrior Cats book series, comprising 48 books in total (excluding standalone novels).
Cats in the Warriors world typically belong to one of 5 feral Clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, SkyClan, and ShadowClan. Each Clan has its own leader.
Deceased cats join StarClan, a heavenly forest, while evil ones go to the Dark Forest upon passing.
Feral cats refer to domestic cats as “kittypets,” viewing them unfavorably.
Aside from kittypets, loners and rogues are other types of cats in the Warriors universe. Loners tend to be independent, while rogues often cause trouble for established Clans.
