How to find a lost Android phone and determine its current location
If you meet the specified requirements, follow the steps below to locate a lost Android phone and determine its current position:
First, open any web browser on your computer or another device and visit Google Find My Device HERE. Sign in with your Google account, the one you use on the lost Android phone.
As long as the device is on and connected to the internet, the Android Device Manager will initiate and start pinpointing the device's location.
At this point, the location of your lost Android phone will be displayed on Google Maps as shown below:
If you determine that the phone is lost somewhere in your house, click on the Ring button to ring the phone for 5 minutes at maximum volume (even if it's on silent mode, the device will ring). After finding the device, press the Power button to stop the ringing.
In the second scenario, if you determine the device is far from your location, click the Lock button to secure the device. Additionally, there's an option to send a message to the person holding your phone.
Lastly, if, unfortunately, your Android phone is stolen, or you simply don't want others to access and view your sensitive information, click the Erase button to wipe all data on the device, restoring it to the manufacturer's default state.
