It is said that during his tenure as the district chief of Phu Quoc, Mr. Ngo Van Chieu often visited the Quan Am Pagoda near the current location of CDHT and received divine signs from the Deity. In 1921, he was informed by the Cao Dai Deity to be the enlightened one of the faith. Since then, the Cao Dai faith has been spread far and wide. Visitors will be surprised to witness the ancient traces still preserved here.
