Xuân Quan Flower Village, a Fresh Hotspot for Tourists
Established in 2008, the Xuân Quan Flower Village now allocates over 60% of the commune's cultivation land to flowers and ornamental plants, involving 900 households in the floriculture profession. Through innovation, continuous learning, and skill enhancement, these farmers have transformed the area into a craft village with a sustainable business environment, keeping up with, and even leading, future trends.
From pure agricultural land, after a decade of support from the local government and practical assistance from one of the major local enterprises, the Ecopark urban area developer, hundreds of farmers have participated in vocational training programs, particularly in flower and ornamental plant cultivation.
Hundreds of vibrant flower varieties have been cultivated. Each season brings its own beauty, featuring Japanese bamboo, royal bamboo, Thai betel palm, Italian orchids, magnolias, golden lotuses, camellias, chrysanthemums, yarrow, daffodils, tuberose, and dragon scale plants, all thriving in this place.
Situated adjacent to the Ecopark urban area, catering to the needs of over ten thousand residents and thousands of tourists who visit weekly, the people of Xuân Quan have shown remarkable sensitivity, cultivating various potted and hanging flowers suitable for indoor and balcony adornment.
Both residents and tourists can easily purchase beautiful flower pots and arrangements to take home after each visit to Xuân Quan Flower Village.
The flower village is vibrant throughout the year with a plethora of flowers, including orchids, lilies, potted plants, ornamental trees, and decorative plants. Hanging and carpet flowers are cultivated in greenhouses and net houses. Each garden also features pergolas and tea tables for visitors. The entrance is beautifully landscaped, with parking available right at the garden gate.
Keeping up with trends, the locals actively invest in new plant varieties such as Sa Pa roses, Vân Khôi roses, Sa Đéc red roses, color-changing roses, peach blossoms, and egg roses.
With over 500 households cultivating flowers across approximately 120 hectares, each household averages 2,000 square meters of cultivation land. Flowers and ornamental plants bring considerable profits to Xuân Quan residents, ranging from at least 300 million to several billion Vietnamese dong annually.
The Ecopark urban area currently employs thousands of local greenery professionals who have received thorough training in greenery and ornamental plants. This contributes significantly to the village's already established expertise in flowers, making it even more professional.
In 2018, the flower growers of Xuân Quan experienced newfound joy as they were officially recognized as a craft village specializing in cultivating flowers and ornamental plants. This recognition affirmed the brand and paved the way for the sustainable development of the profession.
