Binh Thuy Communal House was constructed in 1844 and was bestowed with royal recognition by Emperor Tu Duc in 1852. Initially built with bamboo, it underwent renovations later. The communal house comprises two main sections: the central hall and the 'luc ap' area. The central hall consists of five buildings (anteroom, main hall), while the 'luc ap' area includes a space for ceremonial preparations alongside a theater. Surrounding the communal house are several shrines dedicated to various deities.

The main architecture of the communal house showcases numerous distinctive features of the Mekong Delta, absent in the northern communal houses, such as the square-shaped anteroom and main hall, each with six rows of columns, and six columns in each row. Typical carvings include dragons and lotus flowers, while the roof is adorned with statues of people, kylin, and dragon-fish hybrids. An important aspect for every visitor to know is that the communal house pays homage to the founders and meritorious officials, including Dinh Cong Trang, Nguyen Trung Truc, Bui Huu Nghia, Vo Huy Tap, and others.
