Facebook has requested certain Pages to update WiFi addresses for specific locations. This serves as a source of information for users who, after logging into Facebook, can search for WiFi hotspots on the platform.
The Facebook Live feature, which streams live video on the platform, consumes considerable resources and network speed. Even with 4G networks, streaming live video or making video calls on Facebook can be inconvenient when there's no signal. This is where the WiFi hotspot search feature on Facebook proves beneficial. Thanks to the new Find Wi-Fi feature on Facebook, users can easily discover nearby WiFi hotspots and connect to facilitate live video streaming or video calls on Facebook.
Currently, only a select few users are testing the Facebook app for iPhone and Facebook for Android with this feature. Users simply need to click on the Menu bar (three lines) when in Facebook and select the option Find Wi-Fi.
Exploring WiFi hotspots on Facebook for iPhone and iPad
Before attempting this trick, users must have the latest version of Facebook installed. According to research by Mytour, the WiFi hotspot search feature is currently only available on the Facebook app for iPhone and iPad. Meanwhile, Android users will have to wait for it in the near future.
Step 1: In the Facebook interface for iPhone and iPad, tap on the menu icon (three lines) at the bottom right corner of the Facebook app for iPhone.
In the menu, scroll down to the bottom and select Find Wi-Fi option.
Step 2: By default, Facebook will prompt users to enable location services and turn on Location History. Of course, users can delete their WiFi search history in the Activity Log section.
Press Enable Find Wi-Fi.
Step 3: Once you've enabled the feature, you'll immediately see your current location along with a map of WiFi hotspots nearby.
Facebook will display suggestions on the screen, where you can click on any WiFi-enabled location. Users can easily access the Page of that location by tapping on Visit Page. Additionally, when you click on Directions, Facebook will provide detailed directions to that location.
Step 4: When you tap on the List above, Facebook will provide a comprehensive list of detailed WiFi-enabled locations around the user's area. You can also view it in a detailed Map format.
Currently, the social network Facebook is gradually undergoing significant changes to expand its coverage, aiming to establish dominance over other social networks such as Line, Zalo, or Twitter. Whether accessing Facebook via mobile devices or computers, users now have more convenient ways to log in, not just scrolling through the News Feed but also engaging in conversations, messaging, or live video streaming on Facebook.
We hope that the WiFi hotspot search feature on Facebook will soon be available globally in the near future.
