Folklore of old has a saying, 'One's teeth and hair reflect one's personality.' Here, 'personality' partly reflects one's aesthetic taste, personality, and preferences. And this is most evident through clothing that we wear daily. Especially for students, choosing attire that fits the occasion and lifestyle plays a crucial role.
Attire is a term encompassing everything we wear, from clothing, shoes, to accompanying accessories like bags, glasses, watches, bracelets, and necklaces. Essentially, attire serves as a functional product for keeping warm, providing protection, yet from an aesthetic standpoint, it is likened to an artwork created by each individual. Attire helps its owner express who they are, what profession they hold, and their aesthetic tastes. People will judge your personality based on what you wear more than the expressions on your face. A beautiful and appropriate outfit is a powerful weapon to boost confidence and master communication.
As society progresses, many changes occur in human life, including clothing choices. And the most affected group is often students still seated in the school desks. If in the past, the image of a student was associated with a white shirt and black pants, now when stepping out, we see a variety of flashy, colorful clothes, with some parts exhibiting a sense of superiority. They transform themselves into 'young lords and ladies,' 'princes and princesses' with different styles from others. They cast aside the pure school uniform to don inappropriate outfits for their age. These students are like moths flying into the flame, intoxicated with the idea that they are leading the fashion trend. And the truth is, this does more harm than good.
The school uniform itself carries sacred meanings. It contributes to honoring the purity and innocence of student life. When a group wears the same uniform, it helps erase the differences and the sense of inferiority between members. The uniform also reminds us of our responsibility and pride in the tradition of the school we attend. It reflects the neatness of male students and the adorable charm of female students. Refusing to wear the uniform is also a refusal of one's student status.
